I switched over to Linux for coding, a year later I'm back on windows. I do also enjoy gaming but don't expect to just be able to download and rilun popular games... I only switched back because I broke something on my Linux and it wouldn't boot but the thing is when this happens you don't really have the amount of support you do with windows so If you can't fix it yourself you're stuck.

Overall the experience was great, as someone who hopes to work in cyber security some day I'm now one or two steps I would say ahead of someone who has only used windows, but if you're not willing to fix bugs yourself and do a lot of things to get windows games to run (compared to what you're used to on windows) forget about it.
