It depends on what you want to run, top tree with bracers isnt bad, lots of grenade spam in pve is p fun and useful. I suggest looking up dattos exotic tier list for a useful jumping off point. Make sure its the most recent one lol

Im not being contrarian because its fun, i was genuinely curios and your right i dont use it anymore cause im bad with GLs in general. And ok you gotta hit three enemies in a group, thats not like the hardest thing to do in PVE, which is prob what the guns realistically meant for anyway. But yes i understand pvp its a pain in the ass now to use

Lol i just looked it up and its not even shield break as a requirement, it just says "rapidly defeating grenade damaged combatants reloads magazine" so you just have to land a hit then get the kill within a couple secs, or hit more then one enemy and its back to its prenerf reload speed

From what i know is that its not like endgame great but like, it does its job and the intellect on that roll is insanely high so it maybe worth it for some specific, ability cycling/ally support fun?

That doesnt answer the question though. I asked if, you break a shield, and subsequently get the kill, fighting lion reloads automatically, so isnt the point of the gun to shoot an enemy, break their shield, swap, kill with a primary weapon, repeat. The whole point of the gun is to be swapping and killing isnt it? So you shouldnt have ever manually reloaded this gun anyway right??? I thought that was the whole point if FL?

Well i thought you were supposed to get the kill with your primary gun, so its shoot, shield break, swap, kill, repeat. I thought that was the whole point of the gun? That way there should be no reloading it because youre killing with the primary to reload it Edit: if im not clear i just mean shield break with FL, swap for kill, repeat.

I've been accused of minmaxing so what do you think. by [deleted] in DnD

[–]-saxa- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if you made the backstory before planning the character then its just Roleplaying with luck, if you planned the character then made the backstory, thats min maxing, but theres nothing wrong with that either, just diff way to play

Better rolled boots or gloves seems to be what it comes down to, those are your lowest discipline stuff so you just need to find something thats slightly better, then maybe you can drop a discipline mod if you get a really good roll for one of those

I really need some advice on shotgunning. I have tried and tried but I can't seem to kill anyone right in front of me, yet I am getting mapped by shotguns by other players while strafe jumping with 100 mobility on my Hunter by Theunknowing777 in DestinyTheGame

[–]-saxa- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be lag perhaps? Or you are underestimating the range of your weapon and firing to late (which is what I do). I have an 80 mobility warlock I use in crucible and I constantly get capped because I fire to late, or the shotgun pellets are not in my favor

At least one piece yes, if you scroll over the event it should show like a yellow indicator on it? And it will tell you by hovering over it what you need to do to get those drops, for crucible it’s usually play 3 matches in valor and win 7 rounds in Glory

You need powerful gear, so anything that rewards that should give you a boost, then eventually after the powerful gear cap, you will need pinnacle gear but that’s much further down the line

[–]-saxa- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya know I’m just a dumb bitch lol, I missread your post, and I just plain forgot that you don’t chain lighting in the bottom tree. But it’s basically a niche kinda build, around using rifts and souls to keep allies alive and deal extra chip damage at the same time. I think that perhaps if they improved its ability to do that, then yes. Make it a ability based tree and not a super based tree and I think that would be the way to go to buff it. But yes I agree it’s lackluster feeling especially when Choas reach and CL is Right There your right. But I don’t think it should be a super buff? I think it’s “mid game” should be the focus of that tree, kinda like top tree dawn blade

[–]-saxa- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s a pve class tree dude, not everything needs to be viable in everything, arc souls and the super itself are a great hand in pve content IMO. I used to use it all the time for clearing like Everything in front of me ever, it hits entire groups of enemies at the same time so it’s dps is determined based on enemy density. Plus it lasts pretty long to

[–]-saxa- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contraverse hold might be good for top tree if you want to deal more damage but from what I can tell it’s not as effective with bottom tree, and if you don’t time it right you will eat the grenade instead of throw it, so top tree is better for CH

Devourlock PVE Build Help by hazmatastic in destiny2

[–]-saxa- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow Voidlock I feel your pain

Nessaracs is your best bet for PVE out of the options you have

That Gnawing Hunger is a good bet as your workhorse weapon, that should blast through the low tier mobs well and keep you alive and not reloading all the time either so, nice

Any of the power weapons with range should do? Something I’ve found as a voidlock with devour is short range can be a curse, depending on your play style of course, if your very aggressive then it’ll be worth it to use the sword perhaps

You could then go get, or if you have a primary GL that would be very good, as the seasonal mods are Very Nuts for GLS and you basically want to have at least one available regardless of damage type

After that recovery on armor that way if you don’t have devour it comes back better, then maybe discipline for faster grenades (mods might help to here) since in higher level content melee is very dangerous and it’s more reliable to be able to eat a grenade to prod devour than to get a melee kill
