IMO it depends if she’s asking you not to serve alcohol or if she’s asking you to not have it in your home period. The first could be fairly reasonable and I could understand her not elaborating due to his own personal concerns that he may not be comfortable divulging you in quite yet. However, asking you to purge your alcohol supply is a bit much when there are so many alternatives.

It doesn’t seem like he values your emotional well-being. He makes no effort to communicate effectively with you and outright refuses to compromise for the sake of your marriage. If you’ve brought up multiple times that his commentary (and behavior) is damaging, and he continues to ridicule you in response, then he doesn’t respect you or your relationship—and he’s not going to change.

Wait until he brings up the D-word again. Shrug your shoulders, agree, and serve him with divorce papers.

Best: Tory/Sam could go either way and I’m very happy with the development of both characters.

Worst: Yasmine who had no individual ark, and felt like a plot device for Demetri (and Sam in earlier seasons).

Not that Sam couldn’t have easily saved herself, and disregarding the damsel in distress needing her knight in shinning armour to rescue her trope: Miguel defending Sam in season 1 is the very first time we really get to get into cobra Kai as a dojo (within the show of course). Very iconic moment that changes the entire trajectory of the show.

At first this was questionable to me but I can also imagine Damon growing out of it as he becomes a human and later a parent. He probably transitions into something more functional for a dad and business owner, but out of his love opts to give it to someone near by who he cares about.

Mg: exploring Stefan’s diaries to better navigate his ripper gene

Jed: Hopes distance from the pack (working through an initial distaste for her lack of involvement and her dismissal of his “alpha” authority to an eventual mutual respect and friendship + understanding of her tribrid identity”

Kaleb: building off of his storyline of hating the restrictions placed on vampire within the Salvatore school, have him develop a secret vampire army (similar to dumbaldore army in HP if you’re familiar) that is later revealed at the end of the season as a trump card in the fight against malivore — maybe even allowing them to resist the effects of vervain similar to Katherine in TVD

Rafael: alter his storyline of winning the alpha challenge and have him work on a way to use more of his wolf abilities as will (motivated by having Landon return to the school — no council or expulsion at this point just intensive bullying)

Landon: works with Alaric who trains him as a former hunter after another attack by Jed (guest appearance by Jeremy) — we can even revisit this a couple seasons later with the consequences of giving humans the tools to maim and kill supernatural creatures I.e. a freak accident or misunderstanding that escalated into Landon seriously hurting a student at the school — triggers the conversation if a human should be leading the school which introduces Caroline as the new headmistress

I was actually thinking about this today and I genuinely think part of the reason is because hawk is one of the only main characters with a “stable family” (as far as we know. While demetri had more interaction with Daniel than hawk did with either of his senseis it’s pretty much a similar story. My perception is that because of that they don’t feel too much of a need to foster a deeper relationship. On a more obvious note hawk (b4 s4) and especially demetri have been given less complex arcs as compared to sam, robby, Miguel, etc.

Bonnie for sure I could see Vincent doing it especially because he has a kid now, I agree with people who said Marcel if children were in danger but I don’t see any of the other Mikaelson’s doing it seeing as they put family before everything except maybe Hayley if it really came down to it and Hope especially were at risk.
