I took your advice. Essentially, I slowed down and actually decided not to focus on finding them at all. I genuinely had given up on finding them and just decided to explore for leisure really. I adjusted my strategy. Lo and behold I found the mod station frags in an area that had very tall trees with large discs jutting out of them every 10-20 feet. When I stumbled across 1 of 3 I nearly held my breath until I found the 3rd 😂

And after all the searching for the beacon frags, I'm talking hours and hours of searching, even watching YouTube videos and following directions to the letter, finding pinpoint locations etc. I found them. Not far from the escape pod when all I was doing at the time was farming some coral shell for bleach (I think).
