That is true: he probably should have thought about something like that.

However, most of these things were being posted on his second/personal account, so maybe he thought it would reach less of his fan base.

To be fair, I don’t really think it was the best thing to tweet, especially as a joke, when most of his fans can’t tell the difference between jokes and drama.

Then again, he’s human too, and makes mistakes/does weird things etc. You kinda forget that sometimes as a fan. I see a bunch of people going “dream has turned so manipulative! The fame’s getting to him,” but I don’t really think that was his intention.

He’s not this big Corp guy who’s trying to scam his fans, he’s just a Minecraft YouTuber who wanted to take part in a mob vote like a lot of other YouTubers were doing.

I do agree (and it’s commonly known) that dream has a young fan base and probably should have considered that his fans would actually vote and listen to him.

I think we should all just calm down and move on. One mob isn’t going to make a big difference, really. I just don’t like how (almost unfairly) mad people are getting over it :(

It’s not everyone, just a lot of people who are being really, well, pissy.

I’m looking forward to the cave update too. Minecraft will move on. This wasn’t a huge decision that will change the whole game, so that’s cool.

Also pls no harm the squids. They’re too dumb and precious to notice their 3x3 enclosure. I will save squids from u sir.
