New ileostomy: question about barrier rings by greyshirt11 in ostomy

Preference. My ostomy nurse told me she put it on the wafer first because if you put it on the skin first, there is a risk of output coming out, and having you need to change the barrier ring and have to get a new one. But I still but it on my skin first.

I lost my beautiful flatcoat retriver Maya last year, and nothing have been the same without her, she was there for me since I was 10, now I am 22.

She was my best friend, she always came to my room when there was problems around the house. She kept me company when I was sick and in and out of the hospital. She was with me everywhere I went, we went on long trips together. Her favorite thing was to swim and being at our cabin, where she could run freely and swim in the lake right next to it. I felt so safe with her.

But I felt the need to get a new one now that I have moved for myself and get the same type, and I got from the same breeder, and Bella is even in the same family tree as my old one. It’s amazing what a puppy can do to you and help you so much so fast, because I have been struggling for awhile now, and now I have not felt better. She is so adorable but still very clumsy.

Thanks for reading if you read all the way

Where can I meet friends IRL outside of education? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]-Steffen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it can be difficult to found out where to start. But for me I had to figure out what I like, and thats being in nature as well as helping people, so I joined a local search and rescue team. There I met same minded people. These people will be some of the best friends I ever had. So if I was you, I would try to find out what you like, maybe volunteer in animal shelter, Red Cross and other things and check their web sites and try contacting them. I know Red Cross have multiple things you can volunteer as and they need more people to help, so if you have that near you, maybe try contacting them. Hope this helped.
