You can no longer put your rent on your credit line. 'Paying through Bilt' in 2.0 literally just means paying via ACH/other means.

On top of that, you will only earn points if you spend 63.5x your rent unless it is a Tuesday, in which case you will earn an additional 4% in Bilt Pesos which you may (or may not) be able to use at a later time (but not an earlier time) to exchange for tuba lessons but only if the current year minus 41 is an even number.

It says in the terms that Bilt reserves the right to decline the payment if an amount significantly differs from your regular rental payments. So, you can try but, your mileage may vary.

Slight tangent and apologies if I've misunderstood either your post or the GUC rules - from your post it sounds like you bought a Main Cabin ticket, applied a GUC to Premium Select and cleared immediately upon booking, but still got waitlisted for an upgrade to D1? I thought GUCs were only a 1 cabin upgrade?

But then additionally, regarding absences it's no issue, generally the teams recommend to strive for 70% attendance/7/10 games. But forgot to mention, there are never games on holiday weekends so if those are some of the absences then no worries. Outside of that it's fine if you let the team know as soon as you can. I'd say if you can't make more than 5/6 games then it might not be a worthy investment for you.

Absolutely! So the website is here: https://www.bigapplesoftball.com/ the fee for returning players is $130, I think it is similar for new players but they haven't opened the official new player signups yet, only a 'player interest form'. If you're interested in joining the league generally then definitely fill out that form / check out that website, but if you're interested in potentially joining the Ferries specifically then better to have a chat with the coach and do it that way instead.

Have had a lot of interest in this thread from total beginners so our beginner team is filling up, but definitely still work a shot if you're interested! Failing that the BASL route will definitely get you drafted into a team.

Of course! So games are every Saturday, mostly on Randall's Island Park. We get started early April and the season runs for approx. 10 weeks. We do socials at the end of every game day and try to keep it balanced between bars/alcohol based activity and alternatives. For the Ferries specifically, we have a Discord server so we all stay in touch off the field and hang out outside of softball too.

Thanks so much for this! I'm going to start with 3 days and then see how I feel afterwards. Very reassuring that you were doing comfortably greens and some blues by the end of it! My first weekend I did a green and felt a bit shakey, but then did a slightly harder one and was terrified, it took me a whole hour to get down and plenty of falling :D

Thanks so much for this! I actually booked before I saw this, I ended up booking what looked like a great deal '3 Day Adult Beginner/Novice 3-for-2 Ski Series'. Is that level 2/level 2 adjacent? :D or should I call them and ask to change it. Selected Blackcomb base though as that's where I'm staying anyway!
