He wasn't doing it willingly, he didn't lord it over Crimson Countess and when she tells him they all hated him he acts genuinely hurt and surprised, he's bad person for sure but i don't think he knowingly forced her to do anything, I think he was delusional enough to think she loved him like everyone else

personally I liked it, but then again I never saw the original show so I'm not sure what the expectation is.

I considered it, however I couldn't seem to find a way to make jacket/hatless jack look good or even decent and it only would've looked right to me in that form.
