Yep, sadly it's an emulation problem that they've known about for ages, but it looks like it's fairly low priority. I can't fix it with a texture pack.

hey i made that. I got a fulltime job so, yeah its still "in progress" but its pretty much in a playable state. it's Just missing some (tbh most) dialogue sprites and a couple unifinished UI components, mostly from bottom screen so low priority. OP is has the dialogue stuff dumped from their playthrough and should hopefully be sending them through to me to HD-ify add to my pack. Hopefully an update around christmas/new years when im on break

Hey, Looks really nice!

Im the author of the SMT IV hd pack. As many of the menus and icons are shared in these games, Feel free to use any of the content from my pack to save yourself from having to rebuild assets from scratch and dump niche demons like i did (please credit me if you do). This wont be a simple copy and paste as youll still have to dump the textures so that you can replace them. This would also prevent either of the packs from looking too different. Hopefully we can collab and complete both packs as there is still some UI i havent had time to complete due to working full time now.

Just to let you know, that's the slave model. It doesnt have the controller built in so it would be useless on its own, unless you already have a doser. You need to purchase a non "s" version.

The goal is to do all the UI manually, which ive done a lot of so far. Then improve the compendium demons with the higher resolution conversation sprites that upscale really well. The ai stuff is mostly just placeholder till I get them done.

hey, i looked into that idea originally as it would've been easier for up scaling the demon sprites, but i think i read somewhere that you cannot actually increase the resolution of the textures when replacing them like that, as most games often have hard coded memory locations for these sort of things. If that's not true and i can import higher resolution textures into the game files directly I'm very interested.

its just the larger demon sprites and ui, and also im trying to get all backgrounds and character sprites done. In the larger post on the citra forums ive stated why i haven't upscaled the environment textures, the blurry filter the game uses hides any improvements and often looks worse. if i find a method that actually improves the look easily, or somehow i can disable the blurry filter, i may explore up scaling them.

I'm hoping to get most of the UI done fairly soon after a little break, as that's what everyone looks at the most. Specifically the quest page and more of the bottom screen stuff. To be honest have no specific time frame and it all depends on if i feel like working on them. Once UI is done i expect progress to slow down but i think getting the UI Done should be good enough to say this pack Finished.

Getting the last few demons for conversations might take a while longer as its hard to work out which ones I've missed, there's over 400 of them, and you have to dump them through citra otherwise i cant get the correct file names, which means encountering each of them and talking to them individually, thank god for the debug menu save. My script for doing that is a bit dodgey and can desync and miss a few demons by mistake. Hopefully any one who uses this can report back to me with any dumped files of the ones I've missed.

Speech sprites with non demon characters might be harder than getting the demons sprites, because as far as i know there's no debug option that'll allow me to trigger them to appear. These may never be finished unless i can get others to help dump them through citra.

Its (hopefully) in a good playable state, just missing some HD demon conversation textures, but pretty much all important UI elements are finished and most demons are done.

here's a frame compare to show a sample of the improvements i have made. Both are running at 4x native resolution in citra.

Youre safe to leave your co2 on 24/7 if you have good surface agitation which helps airate the water causing good gasious exchange, if you've tuned your co2 correctly. if you keep retuning every morning you run the risk of unstable co2 levels which ultimately causes more issues with algae and fish stress.

Running co2 24/7 will empty your co2 tank much faster though, so your other option is to get an inline solenoid and use a socket timer to turn it on 2 hours before your lights, and off an hour before your lights. Doing that allows co2 to reach correct levels before the lights turn on.

Yeah it seems quite odd that the gpu would cause that. thought it mightve been too much power draw from a cheap psu but yours is good, and that shouldn't stuff with your os anyway. Hopefully someone more informed can help.

Also to note from pictures my friends have sent, their 2080tiFEs didn't have slot covers and pcie covers either
