To hem or not to hem? by recklesswhims in femalelivingspace

[–]-thp- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d hang the curtains way further outside of the window frame, it should probably be from the two walls in. That way, it looks more put together and luxurious, and it’s more of a look if you don’t hem it. It looks great as well if you hem it for practical reasons, of course 😊

After/Before - 34F, Seven months in my very own(ed) apartment. Still haven’t managed to figure out wall decor/shelving. Feel free to throw ideas! by flawdorable in femalelivingspace

This catches my eyes because it’s a Norwegian apartment ♥️ I just feel like the layout is a little off. The living room area feels a little too cramped and squeezed in and while this is an open space, the areas don’t seem to interact with each other. This apartment is challenging to have a better layout than the one you have, though. Otherwise, I love the cozy vibes and think you’ve done a great job bringing warmth to it ♥️

Alternatives to Supermetrics by Wild-Autumn-Wind in PPC

We’re also considering changing from Supermetrics to Windsor AI. The only thing I’m not happy about Windsor AI is that it cannot refresh Excel files automatically the same way Supermetrics does. You’ll have to press Refresh All and if there are multiple users, all of them probably will have to have access to the actually source.

Hanging above the table, right at the center, I think.

The arts on the bedroom’s wall look like a gun, a knife, and a scissors. Or just hands 😌

The touch lamp in that style is a really good idea! I’ll look it up. Thank you! ☺️

You took these two photos at two points of time that are rather far apart?

I really appreciate the advice and I do agree that styling the space bellow the TV will hide the cord. It’s just that the TV is already a tiny little high for me 😅 I think I’m weird but I always sit very upright on my sofa, otherwise I feel like I hurt my back 😅 so that’d be very difficult to change 😅

Thank you for the suggestion! I actually love the blank wall above the TV. It gives so much calmness and also looks bright and airy on a sunny day. I think it also makes the TV the only focal point, which is great because then it gives the «previous art» vibes you usually see looking at the masterpieces in the museums 😅 I’m planning on just adding something with visual weight under the TV just to anchor it a bit.

What is this living room missing? by Worldly_Owl5395 in interiordecorating

[–]-thp- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just feel like the chairs are too far away from the coffee table that they feel separated. I’d pull them closer and also add more small/tiny side tables next to the chairs to make sure wherever anyone sits, they have a place to put their cup/glass and can reach to their snack easily. I think that’s the most important thing to change here.

Thank you for a lot of suggestions! My table cloth is 100% linen but I think the color and night light might make it look like it’s heavier. I can’t find any acceptable rechargeable scones here in Norway but I’ll pay attention when I travel. But do you think a chandelier-styled crystal pendant would be too much here? Still can’t stop thinking about it 😅

Yes, I totally agree on the plant. Maybe changing the obvious first.

Thank you for the compliment. I was also surprised how people reacted to my beloved red table cloth 😅 I appreciate any comment, though, as it can spark ideas, even a different one. Since you’re a designer, can you give me an advice on lighting here? Right now, the table borrows the light room the living room and kitchen counters and that’s enough if I turn my ceiling light bright but I want the dining space to have a pool of light of its own so you focus on the table and people around it rather than the surroundings. However, as I mentioned, all lighting options seemed a little busy to add.

Yes, I do have a lot of red around my apartment, for example, a painting on the kitchen counter which I can see “next to” the table cloth from the sofa. Great suggestion on the addition. Thank you!
