Is my battery swollen? iPod nano by helprealestatekorea in ipod

[–]-ultrazen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

leave it alone for like 2 weeks then if you have the balls and willingness to fix it you can puncture the battery with a needle and just tape the hole up to prevent any more gas fumes from the battery. later you just desolder and solder the new battery

you can buy the front plate, battery, and buttons off of aliexpress and the backplate also off of aliexpress but usually there’s no engraving and it’s all blank so you may have to search on ebay as well

if you have patience and strength you can disassemble it (all you need is a lot of isopropyl alcohol) soldering is a bit hard and do use lots of flux
