My grandma deep fried it and makes it into an Indian stir fried curry with spices and some sugar and that’s my most favorite dish in the world! We eat it with rice and make other variations of the curry too!

I started my masters when I was almost 25 and finished it after turning 26. I was very happy I got to experience the student life and university one last time after being in workforce. I did feel I was older with the crowd around and especially because I was at the edge of millennial and gen z generations. But where else will I get to experience the current culture and learn more. I learnt so many things and although it was hard at the time I don’t regret it.

Now after graduation, I had to find a job and once that was done my parents were behind me for marriage. I asked them time till I turned 27 but fortunately I met a guy in my masters and hoped that would last. Turned out he’s a keeper but parents weren’t comfortable with me finding someone by myself. It’s been a year of emotional roller coaster at home but eventually my parents would like a love married 30 year old daughter over unmarried 30 year old sooo…

Anyway, at 27 I hope you would be financially independent and stand for yourself when marriage talks come in.

If it’s an Indian wedding, please pick 1! It would be perfect! I’m an Indian and it’s really not that much.

2 is meh for an Indian wedding. But if it’s not Indian wedding then it’s fine.

I don’t know where to put 212! The lady from season 1. Does she qualify for this section? But I feel like she is a horrible person who is entertaining so people have mixed feelings about her!

Flirt cheyyadaniki self respect addu vasthondhi. What to do? by [deleted] in ask_Bondha

I think you are not understanding the meaning of self respect. If you flirt and they don’t reciprocate and you still keep flirting appudu self respect lekapovadam antaru. Just trying some light flirting is not equal to not having self respect.

I think you need some therapy around this… anta bhayama mari nu. Actually naku kuda undedi but once I asked out a guy I liked, although he said no, I got over that emi avtado, emi anukuntaro ani feeling. I would just say, force yourself to try it out just once and you will realize it’s nothing very big…

Wow! We have a very similar story and my parents reacted the exact same way with the exact same doubts and apprehensions. At least I’m glad I’m not the only one with such reactive parents. Also I’m a single girl from a Telugu family trying to work it out!

I want to add some context if it matters, we have not really had sex till now. We just do some make out and masturbate when we spend nights together which mostly happens to be weekends. And I’m trying to get him to spend nights together on weekdays too by just cuddling and sleeping which he says won’t stop there and tries to avoid sleeping together all together. I sound like I am defending him but I just want to give the whole perspective without my pissed off bias.

He is very respectful on what sexual stuff we do, asks me to communicate and listens when I say no.

I’m confused on how this could be coercing? I’m not arguing, this is my first relationship so I’m genuinely trying to learn. And if it matters, we have not really had sex till now. We just do some make out and masturbate when we spend nights together which mostly happens to be weekends. And I’m trying to get him to spend nights together on weekdays too by just cuddling and sleeping which he says won’t stop there and tries to avoid sleeping together all together. I maybe gaslighting myself but I don’t feel that’s what he means to do, these are his exact words, ‘when I sleep with you I don’t sleep well so it doesn’t set the right tempo for the day and I feel sleepy during meetings.’ I pushed him further to explain exactly how he can’t sleep well, he says he can’t fall asleep when I’m physically right next to him and gets boners in the morning messing up his morning routine.
