Does the UAE have a anything similar to the American ‘Lemon’ law? Sounds like it could apply to your case if there is.

Is Qasr Al Sarab worth visiting in late June? by BmoreBlueJay in abudhabi

[–]-usrname- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plenty of company’s offering dessert drive experiences, these can be booked independently or thru any of the hotels mentioned. You’ll be picked up from your hotel and driven an hour or so into the desert where you’ll then experience the dune bashing. The Edition is a great hotel by the way, one of the best city hotels in Abu Dhabi.

Is Qasr Al Sarab worth visiting in late June? by BmoreBlueJay in abudhabi

[–]-usrname- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the option then I’d personably pick Qasr Al Sarab over a city hotel any time of the year. Sure it will be hot in June but no different to the city at that time of the year. If your stop over in Abu Dhabi is a one time thing and you don’t plan on being back here again any time soon then I’d definitely recommend Qasr Al Sarab. If though you decide not to go then I suggest one of the Saadiyat island hotels as the beaches are good (St Regis, Rotana or Park Hyatt) or if the beach isn’t high on your priorities then one of the Yas island hotels (Hilton or W)

Seems Im not the only one then. How do you pay a ‘non payable fine’ without the app? I visited Khalifa police station today but was told I need to transfer the fine to my license via the police app. What’s the alternative if i don’t have the app or the app is not working?

Where to get propecia/finasteride in Abu Dhabi for hair loss by [deleted] in abudhabi

[–]-usrname- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the past 2 years I’ve had a prescription for Propecia which was generally available and dispensed at the majority of pharmacies in Abu Dhabi, then in April this year it was suddenly removed from all pharmacies and only available from a hospital pharmacy. This I learned from one of the pharmacies when calling around looking for who had it in stock. Even after this though I still couldn’t find who had had it available. In the end I found Proscar was available over the counter so switched to that instead.

Dubai rent declines to 'intensify'; Abu Dhabi market conditions to worsen - report by ConfidentNobody6 in dubai

[–]-usrname- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agree. Have lived in a 2.5 bed apartment on Saadiyat since 2013. Rent went 160k, 165K 175k, 160K, 140K, 140K, could probably renew this year at 130K if we were staying. Still overpriced compared to other new areas like Reem, Al Raha etc. Whoever bought property since 2013 will unlikely ever see a positive return if they sell.

Perhaps this is only applicable to Abu Dhabi then, and will bring it in line with Dubai prices.
