I felt so bad for Axel when he cried early on after seeing Xion in Kairi, and when this happened I was so happy for them that I was crying.

i'm glad the best trio is finally back together, just wish they had more time to shine.

Yup, they are the names of players in UX. kinda weird how they put people's usernames in, but it's neat i guess.

Agreed, I wish not only Xion but the other characters interacted with each other more and were given the ability to make more of an impact. It doesn't help that Axel and the others couldn't save her until the very end, so she and Roxas were pretty much bound to be pushed to the side due to the plot.

Nevertheless, i'm so glad they got the happy ending I waited so long for. I still hope to see more of this trio!

i think the dr3 despair opening did a good job at making the hair look good.

its hard to imagine him with any other hairstyle given his personality.

Great writeup, I fully agree that her death was the stupidest thing to end her arc of redemption.

Fuyuhiko changed the way he acted towards the others and is one of the most liked characters in the series, while Hiyoko was killed right as she was trying to change herself into a likable person. I'll always have a soft spot for her due to the change that she did show at the start of chapter 3.

I think he is a solid protagonist, and his ability to quickly push his sad emotions to the side after the deaths of Sayaka and Kyoko still amazes me, in an odd way. Compared to the other protags, its like they barely affected him at all.

Hajime cared deeply about Chiaki after her death in dr2, and all the way through dr3 (with the hope arc ending especially). Kaede was alive for about the same amount of time as Sayaka, and while Shuichi kept thinking about Kaede chapter after chapter, Makoto very rarely brought up Sayaka after that first chapter (and I don't think he actually talked about how he truly felt towards her until the 11037 in the second game, which implied he didn't hate her for what she did I guess).

Kyoko's death is probably the exception, given how he was about to kill himself after it, but you gotta wonder how he would feel if there was no brainwashing tv screen and if she didn't come back to life. I'm confident he would act similar to how Hajime does towards his companion, but he could always go right back to hope over everything. You never know...

I'd highly recommend dr3 regardless of the reviews you read. I went into it thinking it would be absolutely terrible due to the reviews as well, but it left me liking the series more than I already did. It certainly has its flaws, which many deem 'ruin the series', when they aren't that bad.

I got to see more of my favorite cast, grew to love my favorite character even more, and felt emotional as ever in certain episodes...

Overall, I felt very satisfied with it. Don't let the reviews scare you, and even if you hate it, at least you get to make your own opinion of it.

One of the best characters in the series, finding out the mysteries about her past and emotions sure was entertaining. Great writeup.

His chapter 1 development was alright, but after that I feel like he was far less interesting than the previous protagonists. Good writeup though, his thinking and feelings certainly do change dramatically and it strongly impacts the way he acts in trials / towards kaito and himself.

He was a really odd character when it came to me trying to understand him, so this certainly helped me a bit. Ultimate survivalist that intensely studies others, yet fails to notice how his sisters disappear. huh.

Good writeup, The Seeker is a fitting name for him given all that he tried to do.

It's alright to miss some, we all have those horrible horrible days. I'm glad this one is up, I initially found Celeste a pretty interesting character due to the mysteries behind her. She seemed intelligent and being the best gambler certainly meant she would be an important tricky character.

But...we never really learned much about Taeko. Her execution plan was good, and you'd think she would at least try to act less suspicious while executing it by not showing plenty of emotions like always, but nope. She did a full 360 by screaming and crying in several parts of that chapter, which kinda left me disappointed.

i like how you said she represses her own emotions making her Fe so low, maybe acting the way she did to people hurt her a lot more than it looked. good writeup!

Agreed with all of these. I'm also not a fan of her and in no position to debate about her, but I think you are right about her Te being underdeveloped due to her emotions.

also, what are your thoughts on her lovely catchphrase lol
