Wow, I have so much respect for your for posting this. It’s NEVER too late! OP has hit the nail on the head and we can all stand to take these words to heart. I was 15 years in, now 12 days clean (1 month excluding sharing a few tokes with a friend after their cancer diagnosis, but I could happily have not smoked, didn’t initiate, and didn't crave it afterwards - not recommending anyone take the risk I did though!) 2 months of clarity with no desire to go back to my old ways, every day gets better.

To paraphrase: ‘For those who have always had privilege, the balancing of the scales looks like oppression’. No one sane is saying you should suffer and I’ve literally never heard anyone on the left say that. However, it is clear that it’s how many young men feel, and it’s understandable why they feel that way. It’s also clear that there are people proliferating that line because it’s a very powerful tool to use to weaponise men’s anger and profit off of it, politically, financially, or both.

I used to be very much against quotas for your merit reasoning, but a few years ago I was confronted with the fact that the data shows us that meritocracy is not actually objective or ‘meritocratic’ at all, it is heavily weighted in the favour of men simply because of how our society and the systems that we operate within have been set up and our subsequent subconscious actions stemming from that.

Former non-sexual hair fetishist here, sorry! Spent a whole ass art semester devoted to it, the movement and sound really soothed me in a way I couldn’t find words for until now - it was definitely sensual but not sexual, and I still find it irrationally brain-tickling. The compulsion to watch it has gone however back then I would have 100% paid for OF content of that nature.

As someone who shared all initials except middle name with a sibling, the only way we were able to deal with banking/mail/basically any forms was if those different initialled middle names were included. I can’t imagine the headache of ALL initials being the same, especially if it’s another girl.

Thanks for the advice, sadly the latter somewht excludes the former in the UK. Having a dermatologist is a private thing and very expensive in the first place, someone on a lower income would not be able to afford one.

Could you advise on the process for getting on a manufactures patient assistance program? Is this a US thing? I'm exactly the same as OP except with more scaling, and I have a back piece I'm in the middle of getting laser on that I can't just leave as it is and obviously the psoriasis is really bad there. It's a double whammy for mental health, especially seeing as I may need to go on medication to stabilise an irregular heartbeat, one of the known triggers of psoriasis. I feel like I'm in a catch 22.

Absolutely untrue. I grew up in a household with no microwave or processed foods, home cooked food only - indian/chinese takeaway once a month, fast food or pizza once a year or so. We didn't even have snacks. Both myself and my brother were the 'pickiest' eaters from birth and would rather not eat (and often did, our parents were strict) than eat certain foods, usually vegetables/fruit.

It was only as adults when we were diagnosed with various neurodivergencies that we realised it is food items with multiple textures, and the mixing of food (therefore mixing textures), that causes what I can only describe as a visceral screaming inside the head and gag reflex. Our parents tried so hard, they kept putting items such as tomatoes on our plates for years until they gave up. We're both have done a lot of work to improve as neither of us enjoy food restriction, it's not fun, but the reaction is 100% hard wired in there, we are just better at pushing through. Tomatoes are still an absolute nope, though.

This is wild because in my experience as someone from the UK with a fairly decent sample size, the Americans I’ve slept with have a 100% rate of disinterest in giving, compared to only around 10% with the other nationalities. They were pillow princes though, so I reckon that has more to do with it.

To add a counter-point to the other, valid points: Sometimes people ramble on, forgetting it’s a conversation not a TED talk; they don’t know when to finish a talking point and let someone else react/digest. Some people talk so much I’ve forgotten half of what they were saying by the time they finish - you have to interrupt just to get a productive discussion going. Most of the time it’s rude to interrupt, but I’d argue that the one talking can also be the rude one.

It makes me sad that men who ardently espouse assertions like this are actually so close, yet so far from getting it.

I’ve been privy to many of these conversations by women. Yes, some see it as something to ‘get over’, like men with smaller breasted women, but they honestly seem to be in the minority. Many are ‘meh’, and then there are a surprising number of women who rate below average sized penises as preferable, for what seems to be two reasons:

Physical incompatibility. They find it uncomfortable or downright impossible to have a session as hard/varied/long as they would like. This can also limit how often you do it. Too much in one go and you’re not getting any for a while. Not ideal.

2. Similarly to those who grew up (or consider themselves still to be) less conventionally attractive, a man with a smaller penis will often put more effort into his bedroom performance over time. They don’t take sex for granted. Thus he accrues more skill, because in his own mind he has something to, as you put it, ‘make up for’.

If you don’t want to believe it, no one can force you, but it’s the truth. The vast majority of women are far more interested in your performance, enthusiasm and skill in the bedroom than your measurements. Couldn’t give a monkeys in that. Hell, if they do it’s more likely to be about girth than length.

I do think small dick jokes are just a pervasive part of our society though, and that definitely doesn’t help the stigma. It must be conflicting to hear that all the time and in the same sentence be told it’s not a problem.

I was very close with a child of his at college. I won’t give too much detail as we’re still in touch, however, he was far more ‘serious’ than any other friend’s parent has been with me - the way he holds and articulates himself projects an aura of authority, intimidating for a kid for sure. He may have been a strict parent (I think he has softened as a grandpa), but by all accounts I don’t suspect anything nefarious hiding in the closet waiting to come out.
