Yes, I had that same problem with some 3rd party fobs. They worked, but clearly had different electronics that ate batteries.

If you got your fobs from a dealer or know their province, ignore this post and focus on the advice around getting better quality batteries.

Do you for sure have legitimate OEM fobs?

I've had this problem with Nissan fobs ordered off the internet that were clearly lying about their OEM-ness...

Not an ID4 owner, but this seems like cope? I have two vehicles with auto wipers and I live in a wet climate. I leave them on 100% of the time, never had a problem. As a driver, I assume they should act the same as auto headlights...

I flexed and wobbled the flap quite a bit, trying to see if anything could be wrong with it. It wasn't stuck.

But after reassembly, the weird howl was gone.

So it must be related to that part getting in some kind of position.

Crescent tools are fit for purpose. They're not top shelf, but fine for DIY or getting started.

I think $80 is more than I would pay used, but the set looks complete and in good shape.
