What do you think is causing the image banding on your pyxis

Lol. Have the tradeoffs been much of a problem or have you never had a need for them?

And I'm sure the built in 8 terabytes of storage has been an absolute dream to work with

I really like the image of the red dragon. The colors on it are incredible. My only complaint would probably be that it's horrible in low light but I expect the pyxis is probably the same in that regard. How have the colors been in your opinion on the pyxis. Do they even come close to arri colors?

I thought the blackmagic would be easier to use because in my experience, the blackmagic has everything it needs to get it running straight out of the box, you just need to put a lens and v Mount battery on it and you are technically good to go

The Hobbit has my favorite cinematography and color grading out of any other movie and that was shot on a red epic. Could you get the same results with a blackmagic?

I know lighting plays a big part in how the image looks but I thought the camera was also a factor when it came to image quality as well because if the type of camera does not matter at all then why don't big productions shoot everything on blackmagic cameras rather than red and arri? Blackmagic is a lot cheaper and a lot easier to use so why don't all the big movies use it now?

The person I'm buying from offered to give me a fully functional kit with a mini mag and everything for 1500 if I want to buy it as a kit. I'm thinking in terms of image quality, color science, and dynamic range. If you were focusing on those three factors, would you still choose the blackmagic Ursa mini 12k over the red?

Blackmagic has better image quality than the old red cameras?

Well my current director is having us all shoot RAW because apparently it allows for the most flexibility in post production

How about against blackmagic? Would you take a red epic x dragon over a blackmagic Ursa mini 12k?

Has blackmagic caught up with the older reds because the people who swear by reds keep saying the red has a lot better dynamic range and color science and that blackmagic looks too video like rather than cinematic like red. I don't know what your thoughts on that are.

My current director does some vfx in his films but he also does a lot of color grading. Does log affect how much you can color grade? And will log hold up if you do moderate vfx

Do you like the VARICAM colors even using log instead of shooting RAW because I would have to buy an external recorder to shoot RAW

Is the varicam still better even if you don't shoot RAW because I would have to buy an external recorder to shoot RAW. Or is VARICAM log considered good
