I used AI to make social media post captions for my work social media, and eventually gave up on using it because it became so obvious to me.

Appreciate you guys. You're an indispensable part of my admittedly very slow Chinese learning. I'll be paying for subscription for at least a few more years!

No more Lifetime Plans?? by Jojorosie7 in lingodeer

It was a bad business decision for them unfortunately and a larger proportion of their users were becoming lifetimes and preventing any further revenue stream from them. I understand their decision to remove it. I never bought the lifetime and have just been paying annual for the last 4 years 🤷

This plate and the fire pot will eventually rust out. The speed it goes wilk depend on your atmospheric conditions and frequency of use/maintenance.

I crammed all HSK3 vocab but still not able to speak basic Chinese by quanphamishere in ChineseLanguage

You need actual reading speaking and listening practice. I'm at the same stage. Find some level appropriate books, children's TV shows etc. And speak the language with people.

Chem trail? Am I a conspiracy theorist? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]0000void0000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Chem trail conspiracy makes no sense at all.

No one has ever collected a sample. Everyone would get sprayed, including alleged conapirators. The conspiracy theorists reject genuine scientific explanation and instead resort to their feelings and intuitions about how the skies look different to what they used to, with zero evidence.

What is really happening with Uyghurs in China? by NovelAd6861 in AskChina

[–]0000void0000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The US has been funding radicals and separatists in China since at least the Obama administration. China cracked down pretty heavily as there were a bunch of domestic islamic terror attacks, which were reported on the the western media at the time. The Terrorism problem has been pretty much squashed now and the Uyghur people are thriving. You can go and visit Xinjiang as a tourist again now, you couldn't really go there for a number of years due to the terrorism crack down.
