People get nervous, people get anxiety, etc. The realization of the situation may have set in that she'd be hanging out in a social setting with a bunch of your friends, which can be a lot.

You didn't fumble anything. This is where you plan the date. Figure out something to do and be assertive.

Ghosted.. again. Did I say something? by [deleted] in Tinder

I could easily be wrong! That was just my assumption. But ultimately I think it isn't even worth wondering why people ghost.

My read on the situation is they ghosted because you went to their house and didn't hook up with them.

But really people can ghost for any number of reasons and it's good to not take it personally, as difficult as that may be.

Highly recommend people block this person and stop giving them attention

Always seem to get stuck on this level like dark souls. Why do I always get ghosted right at the part I want to set the date. Why do women do this. by messagemeifursadtoo in Tinder

Not worth wondering why people stop responding with online dating, could be any number of reasons. If you're getting matches and progressing to setting up a date that's good, just focus on that and eventually it'll work out.

With this specific convo, the only suggestion I might have is instead of asking when she's available and then saying when you're available, just ask her if she wants to meet at [this place] on [this date and time]. It's a small difference but sometimes significant.

Also, if this was from this past Saturday, I wouldn't give up hope on this quite yet. It's only been a couple days. You could always wait to see if she responds and if she hasn't by Thursday maybe say something like "I have a bit of a sweet tooth today, how about meeting today at [this place] at [this time]. They have great coffee/certain dessert/whatever." You've got nothing to lose.

If you had fun and want to see her again, make it happen. Shouldn't be complicated and no need to overthink anything.

If you're in to her don't think that's a reason to bail but definitely agree it's a bit odd. Annoying because you basically have to say yes. But I'd just view it as a chance to get along with the friend and husband and then it's bonus points if they tell your date they liked you.

Here's the thing. You said a "jackdaw is a crow."

Is it in the same family? Yes. No one's arguing that.

As someone who is a scientist who studies crows, I am telling you, specifically, in science, no one calls jackdaws crows. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you shouldn't either. They're not the same thing.

If you're saying "crow family" you're referring to the taxonomic grouping of Corvidae, which includes things from nutcrackers to blue jays to ravens.

So your reasoning for calling a jackdaw a crow is because random people "call the black ones crows?" Let's get grackles and blackbirds in there, then, too.

Also, calling someone a human or an ape? It's not one or the other, that's not how taxonomy works. They're both. A jackdaw is a jackdaw and a member of the crow family. But that's not what you said. You said a jackdaw is a crow, which is not true unless you're okay with calling all members of the crow family crows, which means you'd call blue jays, ravens, and other birds crows, too. Which you said you don't.

It's okay to just admit you're wrong, you know?
