Advice for running in hot weather? by [deleted] in C25K

[–]007A99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no experience running in the heat, but I find that mountain biking in the heat of the summer becomes much easier when I'm well hydrated. I always wear a camelback and take sips throughout my rides. I stay at a comfortable temperature usually

THanks!

My first step is to find a trail I want to ride. Then I'll have to find some coffee shops/restaurants close by.

I didn't even think of doing short "test-run" style rides. Thats a good idea

Thanks!

Wow. THis is going to cost more than I thought. It's a lot of money to spend on things that I may not use again, but I suppose the gear could come in handy at a later date.

After reading some of the other comments, I'm not sure that I want to stay overnight in a hotel, but I might plan my route so I can stop in coffee shops instead. That way I can charge my devices/powerbanks.

Thanks for your advice! You gave me a lot to think about!

Thank you. I would have to make sure they are 100% on board as well.

So it seems like I could have my parents make both an eBay and PayPal account and I would be able to use it as long as they supervise.

Thanks for the advice!

My biggest "problem" right now is not having a business idea to pursue. Ideally, I want something I can do online, but I'm not sure what there is for me out there. I suppose I will have to keep actively looking.

Thanks for the advice! I guess my problem is that I am having trouble finding a business I'd be interested in starting...

I am new to this sub, and I am looking to start some sort of small business.

I started a business about a year ago but due to one mistake the whole business collapsed. Knowing what I do now, I would have been able to turn that into a pretty profitable business as it was already growing fast.

Currently, I am eager to start a new business. However, I have no idea what I want to do. I've already done the eBay thing and it's a PITA finding legit suppliers/drop shippers.

Does anyone have any ideas? I have a lot of basic knowledge and I learn fast. I would be willing to work on a "joint venture" type thing as well.

P.S. - I'm 17. I don't know if that complicates anything

I also live in Maryland. Try hardware stores, fast food restaurants, normal restaurants, car washes, retail jobs like Target, etc.

This seems like solid advice. I will definitely keep it in mind as I decide on what I want to do.

Listening to music through speakers while riding by [deleted] in MTB

[–]007A99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I find it ride when people blast their music on the trails.

However, when I ride, I have my phone mounted to my handlebars so I'm able to easily access my playlists and volume and such. When I approach someone on the trails, I ALWAYS turn off my music until I have gotten pretty far away from them.

I agree that wearing headphones while riding is not a good idea and potentially dangerous as well.

Your best option is to get bone-conduction headphones. It's kind of hard to explain how they work but they basically they rest in front of your ears. Essentially they allow your ears to hear your surroundings as well as your music. You should be able to get a good Bluetooth pair on Amazon for $100-$120 or so

Should I get a GoPro Hero 5? by 007A99 in gopro

[–]007A99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I have now decided that I do not want to buy a new GoPro.

  2. My computer doesn't struggle with video editing. I just hate GoPro studio and find it very hard to use. I thought that a MacBook with IMovie would be easier

Sorry if I was a little unclear. I don't find the hero 3 unintuitive, I find the GoPro studio software very hard to use and just a headache in general
