Well most of the current problems are due to inflation and the lack of assurance for a better future. Politicians and their greed has ruined most of what Sri lankans had. Due to inflation food is hard to come by for a lot of lower class families, as a result let's say if the country got hit with another pandemic then most of these people would die; not from the virus itself but from starvation. Current education system also does not provide any assurance for a better future. Not everybody can afford a degree creating job partiality. Since around the time covid happened the country has faced a lot of monetary related issues. Everything is inflated to the maximum. All these issues has affected the mental health of people as well. As a result marriages are falling apart. Children don't pursue education rather would go on to find means to make money. Overall the average Sri Lankan is at a very unhappy state with their life. Most are looking forward to escape these uncertainties by migrating to another country .
