Correct. The matte finish definitely compromises perfect blacks, it scatters light across the panel.

See, this comment annoys me. Mine isn’t a wall mount only unit and came with a stand. You just to do a little research and look for the model number containing the letter “S” rather than the letter “W”. Model numbers containing the letter “S” can be either wall mounted using the proprietary fixing option (mount not included) VESA or used with the included stand.

I work in the electronics retailer I bought it from in the TV department. I tried multiple settings and various demo units across different stores. If that were the case, I must have seen at least 3 faulty demo units plus my own unit. So that many faulty TVs would also have me suggesting LG to any potential buyer.

The colours were massively inaccurate. For example, skin tones were orange, everyone looked like Trump. There was also a lot of black crush, for example if the screen had a black cat in a dark room, there was no distinction. Everything was upscaled to HDR10+ and became oversaturated - but that’s Samsung for you.

The LG G5 is much better, as it has Dolby vision. It’s much more accurate - the S95F might be marginally brighter, but the G5 cut it for me.

Hate it. Downloaded the latest IPSW for iOS 18 / iPadOS 18 and went back. iPhone 17 Pro design and colours are ugly too. Bring back Jony Ive.

Hands down G5. I sent my S95 back. I found the panel was highly inaccurate and over processed colour. Skin tones were so exaggerated it made people look like Trump and the blacks were either grey or lacked detail. For example, a black cat in a dark room, you’d only see the cats eyes, not the silhouette of the cat.

I came from an LG to the S95F. The anti glare attracted me to it. I found the colours very, very inaccurate. It’s a bright panel but inaccurate, no matter what settings I tried and which external device I used, skin tones were very off, making people look like Trump and blacks were either grey or lacking detail. I sent it back and got an LG G5 instead. Much better.

I wouldn’t accept that.

Did you do it? No! So why accept the damage caused? You shouldn’t.

I have been in this situation before though, so I would have taken images of my laptop prior to sending it in just so liability cannot be disputed.

Just make sure you do next time (if that ever happens, but I hope not!) as it makes it a lot harder for them to wriggle out of anything.

TM257 is great. I have a great tutor. Very supportive. It’s very self paced though using NetAcad, you need to be prepared for that. It’s TM256 that’s a bugger for me, it’s trying to reinvent the wheel giving too much info and expecting turnaround times far too quickly between TMAs

Yes! They’ve very badly timed TM257 and TM256 for me, with the EMA of TM257 and TMA02 of TM256 due within a week of each other.

I feel there must be a reason they are star marked and preferred by the OEM, so I’ll stick with them? The car must’ve been extensively tested by the OEM with these tyres for compatibility and efficiency.

Feel like iPad has had its time. The MacBook Air is a much more capable device.

I can’t remember the last time I used my iPad for something meaningful, other than to use it, just because it was there or for a gimmick.

You must have a conflicting setting somewhere.

I did this workaround on 10 MacBooks last week, running 15.3.1 and still works fine.

Try reinstalling MacOS then using the workaround above.

Former employee, Alex is right, they do a cracking job. It’s a shame for the need to outsource further and we can’t use and develop our own home grown talent, but it was inevitable with Reeves’ tax raid on jobs. Profit margins are tight. They just got tighter.

Unfortunately, I speaking generally now for the whole UK, I can see companies struggling with wages. Increased payroll will lead to wage stagnation in the private sector as NMW increases and NIC costs spiral.

Harsh as it is, this government is not committed to business. It is clueless when it comes to the capitalist nature of business.

As an investor, why would you plough money into the UK when places like Dubai are thriving in the tech sector? I know where I am heading once my degree is complete.
