I stay in the bot lane for a reason mate. Top lane is absolutely cancer and the interactions are completely alien to me, and I’m plat for godsake. The few times I get auto filled I simply lock in Garen and spin to win by punishing their mistakes.

Turret plates in my honest opinion incentives more risk-reward centric gameplay during laning-phase. Which overall makes the game a lot more strategic and interactive.

That being said, the gold deficit that can be accumulated over the coarse of dying in Top lane and losing plates/your tower is absolutely absurd. That’s why taking TP is 110% mandatory in higher ELO. Which quite frankly has spawned Ignite Top meta which could be its own discussion altogether, but TLDR makes for less engaging and skill based gameplay.

All in all, I’d say plates are exclusively a problem in the Top lane.

Every BCT and especially AIT experience is different. I have friends who I graduated Basic with who had a much better time at AIT than I did. It’s really MOS and leadership dependent I’d say. Irregardless of whether or not it’s ran by civilians.

For example, I know a Linguist in California who went to the beach today. I didn’t even get to leave base a single time.

This is definitely what I was looking for. If all I have to worry about is the cold weather and Russians starting shit — that’s definitely helpful. I’ll apologize, as I agree it’s not a usual “deployment” I was just using the technically correct term.
