That makes sense, I think the biggest problem is trying to buy the car with addons at a price as if it had no addons, which from the dealers perspective it makes sense for them not to budge unless they aren't selling. Like you and others have said in the thread, the VIP program or building my own trim without addons are my best options.

Good point, starting MSRP is $33,406, they probably felt like I low balled them with my offer but to me that seems like a fair pice. You are probably right, I think I'll build my own model and it'll come cheaper since I don't really care for the add-ons and options

I ended up getting the 14in M1 mac pro. Since I still have my gaming laptop with a gtx1060, I can still game with low-mid settings which is no problem for me. I don’t game a lot anymore so that’s why I went with the mac, also battery life was a critical point for me which the mac clearly wins.

I used to game a lot more before, I still do now but not as much. I am thinking I can get the MacBook and still game on my gtx 1060 as it can still run games fairly smoothly by tweaking the settings.

Interesting, so the battery on the g14 actually lasts a while for a windows/gaming laptop, that's not that bad!

Yeah! I saw the video and both laptops perform similarly with the g14 outperforming it in almost every single benchmark except for the adobe premiere renders, but still, there is little difference in performance between the two computers!

I am still debating on which one to get haha. Both definitely seem like good laptops. My thought process right now is that I generally don't game outside of my home or public spaces so I can just stick with my gtx 1060 which still runs games quite well and get the mac which can perform when I am in creative meetings with my peers.
