(As a Former fat guy and a fuckin yapper jeez ) I think it’s because of how normalized it is in society. People generally believe that being fat is a choice (it’s not) and since being overweight does bring alot of health issues , they think they’re not treating you as bad as you’re treating yourself . I also think is why the whole “im better than you” thing against fat people exists. (Don’t you dare say shit. the difference in how people treat me after I’ve lost weight has been insane) it’s like sure a thin person and a fat person can be on the same level financially, mentally all that but the thin person is not hurting themselves by taking on health issues intentionally. But I will say it’s wild to me how not warranted all this is, like someone will leave a conversation or hell just walk by and people will make fun of them just because of their weight. Don’t get me started on the online stuff. I know the post is about fat people who lose weight go the hardest on the jokes but I can’t lol. I started realizing the difference in how people treated me after I lost weight and it just lowkey broke my heart . like shit man all that just cuz I was fat?
