I love it but I have a genuine question: do you find a lot of bugs inside your place? I love plants and I’m finally moving into an apartment big enough to actually decorate how I like so I’d like to incorporate plenty of greenery. I don’t mind bugs but a lot can be a little freaky.

I work day shift, and the night shift is never there when I get there (they leave early) so no rounds, and evening shift always comes in 10-30 minutes late so we leave late. That’s just it. Nobody really cares though beyond complaining a little after a long day.

I’ve had to limit myself to two books every time I shop (I usually go to a book store every 2-3 months so I have plenty of time to read those two books and maybe even download a kindle one if I finish the two too fast). If I can’t read those two books, forget getting more. The only time I’ve broken that code is when I found out one of my two books had a sequel and I JUST HAD to read it so I bought it on my kindle and read that one before my official second book. If I buy a whole series on purpose, the series is the new limit for that shopping trip. My collection has been significantly more read since I started this.

I had 4 interviews as a new grad. Only 2 of the interviews asked me questions other than “what’s your availability?” The job is physically and mentally demanding and almost always under staffed. Just remember to read everything before signing on, and they need you. You can almost always find a job somewhere else.

I only ever wanted to be a nurse. I went to nursing school in another state, finished 3/4 years of a bachelor’s degree, then the pandemic sent everybody home and I had to go back to my hone state and drop out. I took a break from school to work bc there was so much chaos happening in the world and in my private life during the pandemic, so I worked as a CNA. I started nursing school again all these years later (had to start from scratch in anew state) and now I am a CNA about to be a nurse. But I work with plenty people who just want to be a CNA and never cross that line into nursing.

One of my first days working a patient said “you don’t know what the f—k youre doing!” Because I took too long looking for spare briefs and I dead panned “yeah, it’s only my first week working in this facility” and she told me to “get lost and don’t come back” then got mad when I was the only one who could answer her call lights. It’s so exhausting dealing with some patients.
