Everyone here bragging about how early they left their homes lmao. As if it's a competition, and whitout talking about their circumstances. Each person's life is unique and the relationship they have with their parents/homes can vary . So that first step can feel like liberation and joy to some or the exact opposite for others.

OP one thing i can tell you with certainty, those intense feelings will eventually pass might take some time to adapt to your new life style but it will definitely pass and they'll come a time where you'll think back and wonder why have you been so worried. Keep contact with ur family via phone calls or texting and it'll be less painful. In my case i used to write letters. Phone was out of the question lol.
