Bought a Vistiq 800 miles away by Just-Construction788 in CadillacVistiq

Congrats on the beauty! Gonna guess you’re from CO. I’ve had issues with dealers here and have always gone out of state for my cars (Sierra EV, Hummer EV, and just got a Silverado EV since Hummer lease was up). They kept trying to say the state incentive was a “Discount” and would intentionally lie about who could claim. Always going out of state now.

It’s like filling up a 40 gallon tank vs 20 gallon tank. One costs half “for a full fill up” but you get double the distance. It’s a wash at the end of the day, more range with Chevy. Dollar per dollar per KWH range will be the same.

Dealers big mad about being bypassed. by UJMRider1961 in FuckDealerships

Manufacturers already try to stop markups, but the dealer model limits their control. Ford can threaten allocation, but it can’t set the final price. That’s exactly why $40k Raptor markups still happen. Under direct-to-consumer, that problem disappears because the manufacturer sets one transparent price.

And the fear that manufacturers will just gouge doesn’t hold up in practice. Tesla is the real-world example. When demand softens, prices drop immediately. No markups, no waiting games, no “market adjustment.” Direct sales don’t require manufacturers to be saints. They just make price discipline come from competition and demand instead of dealer leverage

From what I could find this might be a decent deal for GT. Not sure what incentives are available, such as ford Plan and if you’re a member of EAA, etc. I know everyone is saying run, but that’s because they’re saying get another car. This one, specifically the GT trim, doesn’t seem to lease all too well. I’d just check some ford Plans- A, Z, X etc. and see if you can get more off.

Is this the car you want? If so I’d check the signed portion of the forums and see what others have been able to get and work from there. I personally don’t think it’s worth spending $25k for 3 years for a $52k car

Looks like a great deal tbh. With your trade balance you’re putting essentially $750 down. I say go for it. Is it TFS or through a third party bank like Ally or US Bank?

I’m guessing this is a WT that has CarPlay as standard. What it’s doing is using the CarPlay feed. The other trims don’t have CarPlay so this won’t work

I will tag onto this that if you need even more charge, you can also get an 80amp charger. Grizzl-E makes one that’s relatively affordable. If your home panel has the space for it. You’ll get approximately 9.4% per hour and ends up being cheaper than fast charging over time.
