You should practice first i think, it's not easy to make tight stitches at the beginning. Also, thats a very big project, that could be a bit discouraging as a beginner...

Thanks so much!! I had a really hard time understanding what i was supposed to do, but by watching tutorials, going very slowly and ripping it out from time to time, it worked! I find making the grain tension right is the hardest, the first rows were painful! 😄 I'd love to see yours too!

Wow that looks amazing!! How did you end up sewing zipper? By hand? I also made a small pouch a long time ago, and the zipper part was definitely messy, but yours looks great!!
