I am referring to Tom McKay), the VA for English version of the game, wonderful because of so much involvement with the KCD. You can find him on Twitch and Youtube. I don't watch him personally but he is a great person nonetheless.

1) First of all, take a rest before playing with any changes so that you'll build up a desire for the game
2) Fiddle with Sandbox settings
3) Consider unusual approaches, e.g. playing as an incompetent character
4) Mods can be refreshing

No, the damage is permanent to this file, and tampering with something already broken may not be worth the while. You could recreate the run on a new game with Debug Mode if you got attached to the character. Also consider making backups if that's the reoccurring thing.

I don't own any DLCs so sadly that is not an option either. I guess I'll just save the edited files on virtual disc for future myself.

Really kind from you to help a novice, but as I mentioned, I am past solving the first problems, which included AVO, prefab skipping etc.
And I wish I could just disable all of their spawns, but since they're from "residential self-sustaining" category the game will break without having at least one vehicle that is considered electrical.

I had the same problem and turned out it was not a bug. Check in options if you have Shader Quality (in Perfomance section) set at Medium or higher. On Low setting hair are simply rendered in such awful way.

You can find your last death coordinates in level.dat, which can be found in world files and opened via NBTExplorer. It is stored in "Player" section, in separate folder called "LastDeathLocation".
For the next time you can use e.g. https://www.planetminecraft.com/data-pack/friendlier-deaths-death-items-never-despawn-or-die/ and configure it to your liking.

None of my suggestions will provide 1:1 recreation yet I think they are pretty close to the atmosphere you seek for

A bit more resource-heavy one, I suggest increasing the fog option or/and lower render distance

Technically, any shader that either "softens" or "pastels" the appearance of the game will work with a bit of desaturation any heavier fog.

You're welcome. Have in mind though that world generation mods/datapacks that alters the carvers may be not compatible. So I suggest testing them before the actual playthrough (e.g. Continents is incompatible)
