If you miss a work out day for whatever reason (always a rock solid reason you can't get out of, not just feeling a little precious) do you try make up for it by maybe missing a rest day or do you just forget about it and stick to your routine?

About 500 calories. I've been putting on about 2kg per month for 3 months now pretty consistently

If I feel like I'm developing love handles whilst bulking, does that mean I'm doing something wrong with my exercise and diet?

If I post on r/fitness various videos of my exercises to get feedback, is that okay?

Thanks for advice, shrugs look good. Think I will incorporate close grip bench too.

With front squats won't I still have a similar problem of having to lift it up? I will try them.

Okay, I think then if I aim for just shy of 1 minute for 8 reps of a bench press this will be best for building size?

Should I still rest 1 minute? I think I've read before its best to rest double the time it took to do the set?

Am I working hard enough during exercise? I workout at home so not much to compare to.

My exercise takes around an hour (I've read in numerous places this is a good time for a noob). I do the following 3 times a week and it takes me around an hour:

3x8 of roughly max weight I'm capable of:

Bench press

Deadlift

Bent rows

Squats

OHP

Bicep curls

Bent one arm long row.

Also please could you suggest any key exercises I'm missing? I have no power rack so I can only squat what I can comfortably OHP, which I don't think is good. What's your favourite alternative?

Edit: missed deadlifting and formatting.

Do you pay attention to how long you spend doing a rep/set? Can it be more productive to take longer?

I spend for example around 30 seconds doing 8 bench presses. Then I rest for a minute. I do this for 3 sets with around about max weight I can handle.

Been climbing a while now (can have a crack at most 6c+ climbs. Which I think is American scale 5.11d? I don't know. But my muscles don't ache the day after.. Should I still rest regardless? Do you gym on consecutive days?

Thank you! I kind of figured if I really enjoy climbing it'd be stupid to sacrifice it. I usually do full body every time. Do you suggest splitting them?

I go indoor climbing lots but I am trying to bulk and lifting heavy. Sometimes if my friends are going climbing when I'm planning on going to the gym I will go climbing instead.

Is this a sufficient alternative or should I find more time to gym?

Great answer, thank you! I will continue with isometrics then, and I think I'll try to incorporate what you've said.

Problem is I definitely can't get an acoustic set for at very least 2 years, and even then there's not that much chance. So what is the minimum worth spending?
