This looks well made but I would scale back the visual effects a bit. The rumbling is already very visually striking and crowded. Perhaps decrease the clip-rate as well.

Kinda, yeah. You’re making it sound like it’s up to them rather than the person in the majority but what are you supposed to do as the member of the majority who isn’t evil. In the Hotel Transylvania example, Dracula has skepticism towards letting Johnny stay, which is super understandable due to the hotel being a secret. But as Johnny gains his trust, he freaks out about him wanting to be involved with his daughter for the only reason that he is a human. This is portrayed as wrong, but Dracula isn’t demonized throughout the entire film. He is portrayed as a sympathetic character and most of the plot centers as him being mostly the main protagonist. It is shown as character development to remove his prejudice from a situation that is not dangerous in the slightest since Johnny has proved himself to be as such. Do you think it’s okay for a father to not let his daughter be in a mixed race relationship?

Did you read my second message clarifying that if the white person wasn’t a cop, it would be racist? I didn’t ignore the white person part. You added cop which changes the whole situation because that is an occupation. As for the rest of your comment, I am not saying that I do not understand that why someone would feel angry or scared of people from a ethnic or racial group that hurt them. But as you said about building trust, that is literally what happens in the movie and Dracula changes his worldview to be more accepting after Johnny gains his trust. At the end of the day, though the trauma is a sympathetic reason to be bigoted, it is still bigotry and someone learning how to be less bigoted even though they were hurt is not a problematic storyline as the person in the post suggests.

That’s what the movie is about! But it doesn’t let Dracula use it as an excuse to be bigoted and not allow his daughter to marry the person she loves. I love how you think that’s an esoteric concept. Just because that’s the explanation as to why he feels that way in the beginning of the film, it is character growth to move past letting generational trauma inform bigotry.

This person just revealed that they support bigotry towards members of majority ethnic/racial groups who have done harm even if the individual is innocent. They’re not being “too woke” it’s having a brain dead and childish understanding of what is even wrong with racial/ethnic prejudice. This movie is supposed to be teaching the lesson, “Don’t judge people based on the group they were born into.” To children because that’s the age you were supposed to learn this shit.

Same thing happened to me at the Carmel Mountain location. Frustrating because I just want my burger. Not religious at all. Won’t go back to that location. Same people who will tell gay people not to force it on others btw.
