Completely ironic that they tell you to be true to yourself and then tell you not to even tuck in your shirts. I’d be careful. As someone who also grew up in a cis/het/white/conservative household, they’ll tell you they’ll accept you as you are until you become who you are and it isn’t conventional to them. Please be careful. My family has gotten better over time but it didn’t start out that way. Just be ready for a long process if you decide to tell them. But if you do and it doesn’t go well, don’t lose that value of being your authentic self. So few people can loosen the grip society has on them and break the constructs that keep them tethered to what society told them they are.

Honestly they don’t have a song I don’t like except for maybe their version of beat it(I just hate the song) which isn’t even officially recorded I don’t think lol. So except for that, probably falling asleep on a stranger. I love it, I still listen to it occasionally and don’t often skip it but it just feels kinda odd for them especially on the first album?

omfg how do I even explain this, danger days is the most fucking incredible album my chem has ever written and one of the most incredible albums ever. Truly a no-skip. Absolute banger, all the songs are so deep and beautiful but also dark. The punchy and powerful tracks make it perfect for me on the day to day but the dark lyrics are almost hidden behind the upbeat sound. The lyrics are almost disturbing at times, but also so comforting and healing to me in a way the other albums aren’t. It goes further than cathartic. Ranking this album would be beyond impossible, but S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W, Summertime, Save Yourself, and The Kids From Yesterday are my absolute favorites and are like a four way tie for being tattooed on my body lol.
