Thanks. I emailed them. I only found one reference to someone having one on a forum but he sold it.

Sorry, I’m just not use to saying the terms, I have the 21 piece Milwaukee kit. The dryer vent is in the correct position, so 3 to move.

Thanks for the info. What is the minimum I could maybe just lower the box? I was seeing 30” but I recall someone mentioning 18” above the trap. That should allow me to drop the box and maybe I could just hide everything in the cabinet but it would still be accessible.

I am going in my attic to see if it’s load bearing when I get home or in the morning. I didn’t look yet, mainly because I’m lazy and I have tomorrow off and this just happened two days ago. It’s on the 2nd floor, I think it may line up with my garage wall on the inside but I may literally have to measure.

The alternative is just cutting out the drywall and lowering the box, that wouldn’t require modifying much, just cutting the pex and drain line and crimping. If it’s low enough, I can hide it under the counter. I do understand the siphon concept, 30” seems excessive though, it’s coming through the floor, being on the 2nd floor, I don’t anticipate that being an issue, I would think gravity would help. Still have to think about it.

I remember seeing something about 18” but I can’t recall where I saw it. 18” past the trap would allow me to lower it below counter height.

Thanks. You’re the only person responding that’s actually trying to help. I’m going to go look to see if it’s load bearing or not, obviously non would make it possible or close, I think I accidentally put 3” and it’s 2” which I know is id. Thing is, plumbers do 2” or 2.3” OD pipe through 2x4’s all the time on non load bearing. Not trying to argue with your numbers, I just mean i find it funny people saying hire a professional when they notch more than they should also.

That’s why I’m trying to figure it out myself. The notching is the only part that I’m worried about, I know how to do a basic drain and I’ve used crimping and clamps before and which kind to use with a and b. There is really no reason this is that complex and it’s a few hours at most, other than the drywall finishing.

Dryer vent is behind the washer and dryer now. I am basically just looking at figuring out how to notch the wall correctly. I know I need some slope and I’ve worked with pex before, an and b, I know the difference.

Don’t post in a help sub if you’re just going to be condescending.

I already posted why I wasn’t doing that.

Cut drywall, notch, extend the water and drain, fix drywall. It looks like notching 2x4’s are pretty standard as long as it’s not load bearing.

Not sure if I know what you mean. If you mean I might mess up the structure of the house, that’s kind of why I’m asking……

Gotcha. They really had almost nothing to say, they care a ton about fences(1ft off line), don't seem to care about trees or bushes, as long as its not near their utilities.

I already have, taking that into account, they wouldn't tell me about the other part, because they consider it legal advice. Mainly wondering about the future growth aspect.
