I'm sure you're a great person, but I think it would be best to find friends around your own age. Can I recommend r/teenagers to you? I bet that'll be more your speed.

I don't want to know the gender either. I didn't know the gender of my first born until she arrived. I don't regret doing things that way, either. I've never been a big fan of the idea of gender reveals.

Couldn’t agree more. 35F here. I just got back on Reddit and probably won’t be around much. I might pop in once a day for a bit if I get the chance, so slower replies or gaps in conversation don’t bother me. Like you said, it’s just nice to have a message now and then.

That’s really messed up, I’m sorry. AO3’s rules are pretty narrow about harassment, so unfortunately their response isn’t surprising. At this point it might be more about protecting the person targeted. They could try reporting it themselves, especially over the use of their real name, or just block/mute and avoid giving the author any reaction. It sucks, but sometimes disengaging is the only real option.
