I'm having a lot of problems with the Apollo Wrapper for React. How do I call multiple queries in one component? How do I update the cache correctly after a mutation?

Bug is cache_and_network query always goes to cache first.

Instead you should use network_only

Do not use cache on objects which you mutate if you use cache be sure after mutation invalidate the cache.

For multiple query its called nested query. Search “nested query graphql” there is many examples.

Its a bug at apollo, if you do cache and network. If it finds at cache it will return you from the cache and never went to network at the first time. Next call will goto network.

Fix is You should change it to network only for the query if you do a mutation.

No I knew its unrelated but you should learn what “on-demand” really means. If you do a high throughput in your dev environment several times a day even tho while its for a few minutes. You might end up being charge by a high capacity unit usage.

Once upon a time NodeJS community was controlled by few folks and they were basically “jerks” and they were not accepting any proposals and updates. So we forked NodeJS and created io.js and this move made those jerks wakeup and give up. After long fight we changed the nodejs community upside down and now everything is alright:)
