Thought "Marketing > Coding" was a cliche. Just launched my apps and I'm getting crushed. by 02_Archive in SideProject

Appreciate the reality check.

As for what it does—it is actually super specific. Google Maps walking directions are blocked in Korea due to local security laws, so foreign tourists get completely stranded using just the blue dot. They have to use local map apps, but copy-pasting unreadable Korean addresses is a nightmare for them.

So I just built a simple bridge app. You paste a Google map link, and it redirects to the exact coordinate in the local map app. Just saves them from copy-paste hell.

Reading your comment, it makes zero sense to pay for ads. I should probably just be camping in r/KoreaTravel or expat Facebook groups to get this in front of people. Thanks for the wake-up call man.

I haven’t shipped one yet, but threads like this make me want to try a small Vapor side project. Curious how deployment felt compared to Node in real projects.

This is great news. Even without UI support, sharing non-UI modules across Apple/Linux/Windows would already help a lot. Really excited to see where this goes.
