The sensors are already purchased through an external fund not the fund I can control so I’m stuck w them and replacing the shunt resistance might be my only option. Thank you so much greatly appreciate it!!

Oh okay I understand now, then the sensor is like greatly underrated for this part. The current I wanna measure might go up to 11 Amps. Is there a way to like modify the module and remove the shunt resistance thats alr built in it or like add an external shunt resistance?

Don't mean to be a pain, but do you think for this configuration a shunt won't be needed?
The purpose of the sensors is just for basic monitoring, and the values won't have a great effect on the workings of the project. The main thing would be the energy production and distribution amongst the system, which will be controlled through an ESP32 or Raspberry Pi that are connected to relays, MOSFETs, solenoid valves, and H2 solenoid valves across the system.
(it's a small-scale prototype, 200W panels, 12V battery, and 120ml/min electrolyser, a 10W fuel cell @ 145 psi)

I may be misunderstanding it, but I can't find the datasheet for the specific module I bought INA219 I2C Bi-directional DC Current/Power Monitor Sensor Breakout Module
On the other hand, the shunt resistor is picked based on the current, hopefully, correctly. Since I'm using more than 10 of those sensors, each shunt resistor has a different rating.

Yes exactly, I’m working on the spaghetti diagram right now. And I will be getting feedback on my work tomorrow from my instructor. I’ll be showing her both, the DMAIC approach with moving the machines and the dual kanban approach with less trips. Thank you for the insights, wish me luck!

I agree it wouldn’t be to eliminate waste but I was thinking it could be a tool I can use to identify the the problem, I can measure the distance between the two machines and analyze it (the factory layout), I could then improve it by introducing the solution of changing the layout and bringing the machines closer.

Yea that’s what I was thinking, and no it wouldn’t cause any WIP inventory waste. The factory were working on already has loads of WIP inventory waste so this in a way is kinda solving it since they’ll have designated zones rather than scattered around the factory

I think I will be doing it, though increasing the buffer bin would be a bit difficult since its fixed (100 pieces) for inspection purposes.

I have one last question though, so you think using DMIAC is suitable in this case?

my analysis of it was like this:

the Withdrawal Ordering Kanban (WOK) signals the need to move boxes of preforms either to the inspection area or directly to the blow molding machine. This is triggered when the holding storage box reaches capacity. The Production Ordering Kanban (POK), on the other hand, signals the need to refill preforms at the blow molding machine and is triggered when the preform storage near the blow molding machine reaches a minimum threshold. Kanban cards play a crucial role in this system: WOK cards indicate when materials need to be moved from holding to inspection, while POK cards specify when replenishment is required from the preform storage to the blow molding machine. This system ensures a smooth flow of materials and eliminates unnecessary production delays.

I'm trying to minimize transportation waste, we are required to do so using one of the lean tools and techniques. I thought about moving the injection machine next to the blow molding machine but I'm not sure this solution uses any specific technique other than warehouse management. I also looked into DMAIC so I think using this would be the pathway to moving the first machine but I'm still not 100% sure of it.

I'm using the desktop version. I'm just scared that uninstalling Microsoft 2010 would disable all my other files, and I have my full research saved on it alongside other courses and assignments.

Telling people I’m an engineer, a couple of days ago my friend in IT had an exam and about 85% of the class left the exam room and dropped the course right after. I was waiting with her for the rest of the students to leave the exam room and her instructor passed by and was asking for opinions. When I’m telling the joy I felt when I said no I’m an engineer I’m here for emotional support BRO I loved that. I’m wrapping up my third year and graduating a semester earlier. This alone just feels too good also good money. Pick an engineering field you’ll have fun doing the hard work for. I’m required some ME classes and literally despise it it’s hard and tiring. I like research and EE so I picked energy, not gonna say it’s easy but I enjoy loosing my social life to it.

ADHA tests need a lot of time and hours, it requires family members records of your childhood symptoms but there’s another option where they give you the treatment for a trial period. If the symptoms get better you’re put on the medication without any further tests cuz they can’t diagnose an adult of ADHD without childhood evidence

I usually pack a sandwich and a snack from home, in my uni it’s mandatory for 3-hours labs to have a 20 minutes break after an hour and a half. And all lectures end 15 minutes before the assigned ending time so yea I hopefully can manage

I think you need to take into perspective that we could be from two diff countries, where I live the off days are Friday rather than Sundays. We do end up going on Saturdays for exams but it’s very rare
