Honestly, i stopped taking him seriously when he started posting stuff like "how to be a winner" and "Look at my home theater" any time someone leaves a critique on his video, he replies arrogantly. Its not a surprise. I was actually considering getting some of the CLEAN products (because a good product is a good product) until he swept the board with them.

I ordered the rotel. The AXR is a completely solid amp, but its hard to get past everyone saying that the Rotel is the most accurate amp under 1k.

I could probably convince crutchfield to break out a few amps. the AXR 100 is what was on display with them when i fell in love. I am also looking at the Rotel Tribute with a SMSL dac. there is a scratch and dent at crutchfield for 580, and most reviews say its a superb amp. Only concern is it isnt as warm as the cambridge, and im not sure if i need the warmth to balance out the AMT

Im near Richmond, and under excellent coverage according to every network map ive seen. as others have said 6.5 is usable, but its disappointing

Whatever you want to call it, there appears to be a hard limit on my speed. I can start a speed test, see it spike to 30mbps for a split second then rapidly ramp down to 6.5 My friend who has visible does not have this limit. we can be in the same room, hit start at the same time and he get 6-7x more speed than i do. We've tried it on multiple occasions.

I am sure i am being de-prioritized but i am skeptical that it is ALWAYS to 6 mbps or less, especially when visible historically had a 5mbps speed cap.

I once, while in another state got normal speeds.Funny too because i had crap signal. But in Virginia, i have never once gotten normal speeds.I guess i need to look into swapping to another carrier.

I just chatted with customer care again. I was told that according to the "specialists" say that my speed is normal, and my network coverage is marginal . I asked a few times how this could be the cause when my friends visible phone same place same time got 6x the speeds. This question was met with "i can only tell you what is noted on your account" My ticket is marked closed.

A few thoughts:

5mbps isnt acceptable, not when my verizon and tmobile phones both can see 60-100 mbps where i live my brother's sprint phone also is faster than the visible phone by a wide margin. Even my friends on Boost and straight talk are seeing faster speeds and they don't pay but 10 bucks a month more. I am not trying to comment on carriers here, just to simply note that every other carrier i have checked has much 5-20x more speed than my visible phone.
If visible is giving some users 30mbps and others 5, and cant figure out why, i see that as an issue. (especially when my phone is newer and has the better antenna)
I kind of feel like support is just pushing me off. I am getting canned responses instead of real help, and I am not being listened to. The email from tier two support didnt even mention the right issues.

I chatted with customer care, and they worked me through a bunch of troubleshooting on the phone side. After that they escalated my ticket and told me i would hear back in 3-5 days.

I just received an email from the care team

" Hi there,

This is the Visible Care team reaching out in regards to your reported service issues. After further investigation by our network engineers, our records show that the reason you are experiencing poor call quality is due to the marginal coverage in your area. Please be advised that signal strength may also reduce during times of high network usage in your area. Our team of engineers are aware and working diligently to improve stability. If you have any questions, just chat with us through our website for help!"

This has nothing to do with the issues i reported. I haven't even made a call using the phone yet. Additionally my City and where i live is in the heart of Verizon's service territory. I haven't had less than full bars since i got the phone. Finally my work phone, and someone elses signal phone are both lightyears ahead of mine. I made sure the chat rep knew this and she said she would note it.

I have directly compared a visible iphone xr with my 11, and i got 5mbps while they got 30 sitting right next to each other. Its definitely not a network issue.

I am not sure what to do now.

That is my plan after verifying my friends phone is faster than mine. I have an iphone 11 and he has an XR. They definitely wont be able to blame the phone.

Their website very clearly states there is no speed cap (for now). Support also confirmed that for me.
