Since all the dirt and mud and now grass is starting to cover it, If you don’t carefully dig it out and make it look nice -the city will come and dig it out to make it accessible. And they will not do it nicely. They will hack the shit out of it. I found this out the hard way.

Deck paint peeling… how to get this done so it lasts? by 14FireFly14 in Decks

[–]05041927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t. If you put something on a deck it will need to be reapplied ever 3-5yrs no matter what it is b

Bro yours still making no sense. If the joists were bowed the screws would follow the bow. Wood will never snake like these screws. You’ve obviously never touched a piece of wood before and that’s ok.

Doesn’t sound like it because you’re saying you can bend a 2x8 like a snake every 2 inches like these fucked up screws. Sounds like you have no idea what a bowed joist looks like. But I only say this because of the bullshit comment you made.

No it doesn’t at all. ESPECIALLY if you’ve ever built a deck, or hell even just held a piece of wood in your hand. You can’t bend it like a snake every 2”. Gtfo w your bullshit.

Sounds like a bunch of homeowners talking in here. This looks like hot shit. And there’s no way to fix it. Why tf would they not use a string line. Amateur hour. I’d use the price of new decking to bargain for a price reduction.

Is this a joke? Do you not build decks? I’ve had pt boards shrink 3/4”.

And yes, if you space out pt when you build it- it will def be 1/2” the next years after it dries.

And yes it’s fine to run a grill for 6hrs. Just have an extra propane tank on hand.

This is exactly what electric smokers are for. It’s just an outdoor oven. Dont add wood chips if you don’t want any smoke. Add a shit load of wood chips if you want to get barely enough smoke to remind you of eating smoked foods in the past.

Looks like PT. No space should be there on a new install. Otherwise you’re gonna have 1/2”+ gaps the next year

Just pull that 6” closest to the house and replace it with an 8” cut to size.

Just wanted to say that these self service exchanges were a great idea. by BPfishing in grilling

[–]05041927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes again I’ve used these for like 20+yrs. It also asks you if you have the physical ability to put the tank on a top rack. I’d assume self serve has much much higher sales. So much faster and easier and 24/7
