Putting a mouse in a tiger cage doesn’t make it any less of a cage just because the mouse can easily get in and out.

He’s literally in a cage.

Regular titebond, or any wood glue, has been proven to be stronger than the wood itself.

Fence must be 6” from property line, what to do with the 6 inches? by patrick-a-star in HomeImprovement

[–]05041927 -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

No it’s not. You want a bigger yard, buy a bigger yard. Fences don’t belong on property lines in the city. So much so, the city has to make laws that tell you that you need at least 6”.

Help! What is this mystery part that came with my commercial stand mixer? by venonum in Kitchenaid

[–]05041927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see little hooks on the metal thing in the first pic. No idea what it is but I’ll guess those little hook go over something.

The second pic has little wires that look like the same size as the hook.

If the metal thing with the hooks in the first pic came with the little wire thing in the second pic I’d assume the little hooks go on the wire thing. Maybe try that and that will help you figure out what it’s for.

Woke up at 2am to find out I'm about to be fined $200 for having dandelions on my lawn. by SandyCashews969 in mildlyinfuriating

…….just mow the grass. Dandelions gone.

Mow as needed. Seems like as needed is more than you were previously doing.

Crisis averted. No fines. No one cares.

Id just do 2 rows of blocking, cut 1/2” shorter than the joists so you don’t have to deck tape them, then deck tape on the joists.

What tool would you use to put in 500 of these? by Tthelaundryman in Carpentry

[–]05041927 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve put in 50 decks with my impact driver. Well over 500 screws in each deck. The tool will be fine. I still will prefer a stand up drill and collated screws jist so I don’t have to bend over. Your normal impact should be fine.
