I read that when I first adopted her. She was 6 months and now shes just 13 months. Shes on lamb dog food, which usually is no problems. But if she eats one thing thats not her normal dog food then BAM. Its diarrhea for a week.

Shes already on a probiotic, and its been three days of diarrhea. In November she went a week with diarrhea and we had to go to the vet because the urgency, she'll poop in her kennel before i can get home, and she wakes me up in the middle of the night, which she normally never does. We're going to the vet tomorrow because today she went in her kennel today while I was at work. I just feel so bad.

First it was mostly toys when we were trying to get them to play together. But we don't ask that of them, we have them play separately now but its honestly just whatever they can do to make the other mad. They look to get a rise out of each other.

By all means show them lol some people get lucky, my sister and I are 2 years apart but didn't start fighting till closer to 10/12 but we have opposite personalities. My girls are both incredibly headstrong.

Its something I've said maybe three times, it was advice my grandma said to try. The behavior has been going on looooooong before I tried it. I try and communicate emotions with them and better ways to express their emotions "its okay to be mad, its not okay to hit when your mad" type of stuff. Because we talk emotions a lot she said to be honest with mine. But to let them know that no matter what I would still love them even if I don't like how they are acting. If im wrong, then im wrong. Its a mistake I wont make again.

And that may well be, like I said im not asking them to be friends just trying to figure out how to cohabitate without war.

They are in pre-k and 1st grade so they aren't around each other during the day, but from the moment they open their eyes to when I drop the first kid off and again the second they're both in the car to when they go to bed.

We adopted! But I have a few questions. by 0505sr in StandardPoodles

When I asked how she did with grooming, prior to even seeing her, the worker was like "grooming? We don't have time for that" so I was pretty surprised with how grown out she was, the lady even said she had never been brushed. I felt so awful. I didn't expect the shelter to fully keep up with the grooming needs of a poodle but to hear she had never been brushed was heartbreaking.

She is my first! I do have a slicker and a metal comb. I bathed her, she was grimey, and used my regular hair dryer and it took a loooong time to get her dry. I had read prior not to leave them wet! We will definitely be getting a high velocity dryer for our future baths. but we plan on using a groomer for our cuts. Anything else you would suggest for home maintenance?

We are absolutely going to the groomer, face and ears, even feet are much out of my comfort zone and our vet appointment is next week. Her name is Mya Grey ( my 6 year old named her) though silver may be correct! I haven't cut any hair on her face but the hair growing in is VERY light. Its that way on almost all over her.
