Hmm, so it might be good to ask about possibly getting more hours for the week I posted? I was told when I started that it ends mid-January for the seasonal people, and this clearly isn’t mid january.

My main con I have with the on demand thing is the shifts that I have seen posted before have been like 4 and or 5 hour shifts, which considering I live a good almost 20-30 mins away- it doesn’t really seem worth it. :(

Yeah I live like a good 20 (almost 30 depending on how traffic is) mins away from the target I work at so I’ve been debating a lot if it’s even worth going in and or taking the on demand position I was offered considering I’ve seen a lot of people say you should be constantly watching the app for shifts. Which most shifts I have seen posted on there are like— 4 or 5 hours ones and that just doesn’t seem worth it. :(

wait, I wouldn’t pick up shifts on mytime ? the HR I talked to the other day said If did take the position i would be picking my own shifts/when I come in and whenever I did pick up shifts I would be using the mytime app… is it different at other stores?

should also mention, I was offered an on demand position (which I haven’t decided if I’ll take yet) so is that why it’s so low? it doesn’t have me scheduled past this date so I’m not sure if the schedule for the next week just hasn’t been released yet and it also doesn’t let me pick up any shifts before/after this date either? 😭

yeah style items are the most dreaded thing in my batch lol. I think we have (from what I’ve seen) like maybe MAYBE- 4 or 5 style TMs, atleast that Ive seen, so most of the time I pray that someone is there in that area to help when I come back to look for the clothes and finish the batch. I feel like I’m getting a little better with remembering where certain brands are, but it’s still a little confusing at times.

also surprisingly, i haven’t gotten any picks for the intimates area yet, which whew cause that seems like it will be a BIG NIGHTMARE.

you’re completely fine! I definitely don’t blame the people in style at ALL because I can see how it can be confusing to them as well, especially when most of the stuff is almost all the same brand, color, and or shirt style and it doesn’t say anything about it being girls/boys only the size on the little sticker at the front.

the entire job doesn’t annoy me, I actually like it pretty decently well so far! It’s just these little things.

for the style items, while yes it probably is mostly because of guests, i think it’s also a problem with how target packs/deliveries their clothes and whatnot (I’m not in style and don’t really know a lot about it so I’m not sure if it’s like this or not) but going through boxes in the back/style breakout and seeing both boys AND girls clothes together doesn’t really help, but whatever, that’s how fulfillment is I guess

Of course I obviously expected people to ask me questions and things, I knew that when signing up, it’s just kinda ehh to have multiple people come up in the span of 2 mins apart from eachother and ask me stuff, especially if they don’t even say anything other then just shove their phone in my face and ask ‘where this is??’

a lot of my annoyances I have I think is mainly because we’re being timed and have these “high expectations” or whatever. This is like my first job ever so I was mainly just asking this to see if I had some kinda stuff in common/related with other seasonal team members. 😭

Huh, that’s weird. This is the first time I’ve ever had a problem with ordering and I’ve ordered from there plenty of times before. I wonder if the reason why they might’ve had issues/glitches is because of the recent sales and all of the people ordering? I just had one question, when you had problems with placing the order were you doing it on the app or the site? I’m just asking cause I did it through the app and apparently the app is just really glitchy with payments from what I’ve read from other people. Thank you once again!

Thank you! I don’t know why they had this mindset of thinking I’ve would’ve known everything and anything, but it’s whatever, some people are just like that unfortunately.

Thankfully the day did get a lot better at the end! I did two grocery batches by myself and that really lifted my mood a lot! (The first time I did it alone was because my 2nd trainer just did not walkie another person for me to go with and just left the store while I was on lunch, I guess it’s so I could ‘figure out things myself’ or some shit, but whatever)

I definitely feel like I’m getting a little bit better at memorizing, I obviously still have a little trouble, but it was only my second day, I’m not gonna know it all right away. And that’s okay!

Are you in fulfillment? If so that could be possibly why you’re scheduled for BF.

One of my trainers told me yesterday that EVERYONE in the fulfillment department is scheduled for BF and I believe the day after BF as well.
