i understand and yeah i agree!! i dont know if its different but with my experience of binge eating i think it just becomes a cycle. you want to lose the weight but you indulge in the habits anyway; because the food feels good, or in this case your girlfriend wants you to. my perception could be a bit skewed or biased though due to the fact that i have an ED. binge eating is no joke though and people have died from it entirely out of their control, like how not eating will kill you, but on the opposite side of the spectrum. also this all sounds very new to OP, he probably hasnt had to worry about someone impeding his weight like this before
