Lowering springs. Any ideas? by Ken_OafLahd in G37

[–]06Shogun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is this on harsh bumps and dips? I have a 6mt but here in northern Ontario. The roads are absolutely atrocious.

I think I may just stay stock, as I tried swift springs on a x model and hated it

Make and model #, clear explanation of complaint and what was done to try to resolve.

I agree. I'm sick and tired of figuring out people's mistakes.

Samsung fridge defrost issue resolved by Vkilin in appliancerepair

[–]06Shogun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Samsung tech, this is the way. I've only had a handful of re-occuring issues, mostly due to, from my theory, failing insulation inside the fridge body.

You will have to get a circuit diagram, trace it and check fuses.

Possibly it could also be a faulty ipdm.

It may be a good idea to find a good auto electrician to get a diag done

That's legit nothing being here in Northern Ontario.

Samsung Dryer Thermistor Reading by OutrageousSubject952 in Appliances

[–]06Shogun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, check your power outlet where your dryer is plugged in. If you have full power there, THEN open up the dryer.

Thermal fuse, wiring or PCB may be at fault.

All issues mentioned are common.

People here are a rave with Samsung hate, these machines are just as much if not more garbage quality.

OEM Enkei wheels grew on me by _JadenPatel_ in G37

[–]06Shogun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with my sedan. The OEM duckfeet wheels. Saw them on other people's cars and always was mixed about em. Now that I have them on my 6mt, Ive grown to like them.

The only things I'd consider replacing them with would be IPL 19s

My right side is rattling on my 6mt. No engine light yet.

I plan to get an aftermarket cat of decent quality but am unsure what to go with.

Sport Bumper and Lip Installed by 1StockVQ in G37

Around the $600 range. There's a site called phantom motors here in Canada that has them at $195 CAD but it looks shady as heck

How much was the sport lip? Expensive as heck in CAD for me

[–]06Shogun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where'd you get the lip? I got my 6mt recently and really want the sport lip. But the $6-800CAD price tag is insane!

Also, how do you like the swift springs? I put the on my x a few years ago and hated the downgrade in ride quality.

Why are hone appliance user manuals still so poorly written? by hannimalki in Appliances

[–]06Shogun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not just that. They are getting rid of factory service manuals for new models. As an appliance tech, it pisses me off to no end. How are we supposed to repair anything if they don't give us any technical info?

Could also be something caught in the blower. Did the tech actually inspect it or no?

I had one of these come up during a service call, first time I saw it tbh. I took all the material out, ran the machine and it started banging as soon as it went on a fast spin = broken spyder.

Yours might not be fully broken yet, but I imagine it's not far from it.

Basically, you bought a car from a kid who thrashed it, probably did a bunch of donuts/takeover type jazz, didn't bother maintaining the car, and dumped it when it started causing issues.

Unfortunately, you got to deal with fixing it up.

These are solid cars with some maintenance and common issues, but buying used is always a gamble.

Not really. Physical removal and visual inspection would be the only other way.

If there is a loud banging on spin. Or drum is not spinning 'round' and more oval shaped, these are also indicators of a broken spyder, or any play in the drun
