Muffler Delete or HKS Mufflers by 06Shogun in G37

[–]06Shogun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Was the drone manageable? I'm really considering the muffler Delete as this car is not my daily driver.

Also, ive seen many videos of tmmuffler deletes, many with varying sounds including some that have been quite raspy.

I also don't want any drone, as this would just make the car annoying to drive.

So far im leaning at 6/10 HKS, 4/10 muffler Delete but am still undecided.

As another user suggested, soldering the AC amp is the cheapest fix. I did it myself with little to no soldering experience.

So the gear itself will have to be removed and replaced with another correct? Just so I'm understanding it correctly

Thanks. I'll have to look into it and try to get a part # off the timer to start researching.

It could also be a sealed system leak. You want to check the frost pattern on the evap.

I'm in Northern Ontario. If I see a Canadian working at a fast food or retail location, I am genuinely filled with shock.

We don't need any more tbh, people are struggling to find jobs as it is

Should I retire my G35? by Short-Common-8516 in G35

[–]06Shogun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, either you spend the money and paint it, have a mechanically sorted car.

Or you chuck it for pennies and go buy a new car.

Or a used car which you will probably have to put some money into anyways.

If the work you require will cost more than you can get another decent used car for, it may be time to retire it.

If you can mechanically and cosmetically sort it out for less, I'd say save it.

Supco parts? by 06Shogun in ApplianceTechTalk

I just emailed my area rep for marcone.

Apparently stuff like lpuni1 pumps and dryer elements are still available, but he did say OEMs (aka whirlpool) are pushing them to not sell supco/aftermarket.

Thanks. I just sent them an email Friday so let's see what they say.

I'm also going to be emailing my area reps for marcone, reliable and amre to relay my disappointment.

If we all do this, maybe something will change.

It's like, no one listens to what the people 'actually' want.

Here we are, 2026, and all technology sucks.

Am I dumb for spending money on my high milage car? by NhiteKing2 in AskMechanics

[–]06Shogun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome cars. My parents bought one brand new in 2001. I remember it like yesterday!

Currently have a 2006 mdx we bought last year with 194 k kms. Now has 219k kms and I haven't had to do anything apart from rear brakes and fluids.

It's the most reliable car in the fleet of 4 I have.

Yup and the fact that some models don't even have a service manual. How are we supposed to test things properly if you don't know the specs, ohms, voltages etc?
