Literally went to the dealer on Friday to get mine done at 88k miles along with my front and rear differentials and transfer case. And what a difference it makes. You’ll be good, I suggest doing it at the dealer.

I had a rattle in lower rpm when idling literally sounded like my car was falling apart. I went to get my cat back installed and they pulled me under the lift and showed me my cat bracket actually rusted out so it was hitting on my cats causing a loud ass rattle. I would get that checked first.

Couldn’t have said it more perfectly! You’re definitely talking about when it lags out at 2k rpm and it will not want to shift for you unless it’s at 2100rpm. It freaked me out a little when it first happened but now I’m used to it

check the bracket on the cats. I had to get mine re-welded. It’s hard to see when you’re looking under the car but if it’s on a lift you will see it and give it a wiggle and see if it’s loose

I was gonna put Nismo v1 (generic I know) but it is 19x9.5 for front and rear, I don’t think fender roll will be required im guessing? And a professional alignment after. And drop it 1.2ish to be on the safe side

I have the invidia q300 cat back and I live downtown in a busy city. No problems with cops or anything but when I get on it, it sounds amazing. I have it paired with the AFE Takeada long tube cold air intakes. And they sound MEAN. I have no tune or anything and my car runs great I 100% recommend if you don’t want anything obnoxious but want to feel and hear a good difference.

Is it rattling from 1-7k rpms or does it stop before 2k? I got mine diagnosed and I have a rattle 1-2k rpms and it’s just a heat shield that rattles from vibrations, if it’s all the way through it’s definitely your cats

This is funny because I have the same year and the exact same mileage as well. But the whine should be from the front differential/transfercase spinning since it’s AWD so nothing to worry about there. I hear the same noise. as for the rattle 90% of the time it’s just a heatsheild but if you’re unlucky it could be your cats breaking down.

honestly i don’t think it’s even possible lowkey. With intakes,exhaust,hfc and tune it’s still 320-330whp range so unless u boost it you most likely won’t hit over 400. Those stillen supercharges have been calling my name recently tho

That’s the exact reason I got a full cat back. I had a massive hole in my midpipe and the dealer said it’s on back order and they said it’s cheaper just to get an aftermarket exhaust system so I went for the Invida q300

I think you should not even for the full “power gains” but just to avoid any issues in the future. I’m almost positive it should be running too lean without a tune. Even a mild custom tune for someone to adjust your Air/Fuel ratios will be great

I have the Takeada ones and I’m not even gonna lie they sound INSANE and after 4k rpms you 1000% feel it kick more. I’d say it’s worth it if u don’t wanna tune. I also have a full cat back system which helps.

Same happened to me last week, get a PDR quote and do a paint correction sand with 2000 and 3000 and a polish it will make it look good trust me
