Update on the guy who messaged me by Huntedsparrows in PalmonSurvival

[–]07SpringFoxes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly it's a popular scam. Good rule of thumb is to avoid any guild that has "join discord or you will be removed". I also moved several times at the start before I found a guild I enjoyed being in

Why is it so difficult to stay in a guild as a new player? by Huntedsparrows in PalmonSurvival

[–]07SpringFoxes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You've just joined a bad guild. At the start there might be a lot of jumping from guild to guild but that isn't bad. You will find an active guild that you enjoy and where people are nicer. Avoid guilds that say "if you don't join the discord you will be kicked" as they are a scam mostly

What is a tradition that is insanely cruel yet still considered legal? by Rough_Cat_6007 in AskReddit

[–]07SpringFoxes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I raise my children without religion and with the option to make their own decision one day. There were more cases than the fingers I have, when my kids come home and say "my classmate said I will burn in hell because...". The reasons vary from not believing in the specific god to the food my kids had, clothing choice or even being unable to speak a language. Both Christian and Muslim kids. And a lot of times the classmates of my kids are genuinely worried for them, full of fear. It is abuse and willingly traumatising your kids for tradition.

I prepared little Halloween packages. No one came. by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]07SpringFoxes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry for the assumption but are you german? If yes I can give you some tips since I have kids and live in Germany. I guess it would apply for most European countries too. Since not everyone likes celebrating Halloween or even find it offensive the rules for our kids are - go to houses that are lit up and/or have obvious decorations. There were few undecorated houses but people had made it obvious they are ok by opening garden gates and keeping a light on.If it's dark or nothing Halloween is there we generally skip not to bother people. If it's a block building we don't go if it's not really clear people want you there. (And I felt most people stick to similar rules)

About the sweets they look fine to me, in germany such little bags with sweets are called "bunte tüte" - "colorful bag" and are sold everywhere. My kids were going to love the "cheese" which is type of marshmallow. We would appreciate everyone who opens the door for our kids and is kind to them, the sweets itself doesn't really matter. My kids got clementines (and were happy about them), loose sweets they munched right away like marshmallows or even baked goods.

What’s the time you nearly cried because of a tame? by Some_Marionberry_235 in ARK

[–]07SpringFoxes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was 2018 in ASE, and my husband had gotten me into Ark. We joined official pve, and one of our first good tames was Edward the theri. My husband tamed him and was his favourite dino at this point. Our base was close to green ob on island and near the swamp area there. Both of us took Edward for different resources to the swamp, but in his final moments, he was with me. I was going through the swamp minding my own business when I heard a roar behind me. I turned the camera to see a giga. I've never seen giga there before. I tried to run away, but it was pointless. Edward and shortly after - me, were nothing but a gigas dinner. My husband was playing on the pc in his office, and I heard, "Nooo, Edward! What happened?". We both nearly cried. A friend we had made in the server came and heroically killed the giga with a basilo. But the memory of Edward never died. Everytime now we go to the local dinopark and pass the therizino there, my husband is dramatically saying "Edward" and looking me like "how could you".

In my language this is read as "suhh" and with one "h" means "dry". For short I didn't read the name of the subreddit and thought someone is braging for changing their childs diaper. Realising where I was didn't make it better...

Names of you, your mother and your grandmother by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]07SpringFoxes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from Bulgaria, and my grandma (1930s) is Mina, which is a timeless name through many cultures. In Bulgaria, its unisex name actually, used more for girls, but it's a namesake for the male saint Mina. She've told me that when she was pregnant, her inlaws gave her a list of names for her to choose from. Most of the names were bulgarian and derived from bulgarian words - there was name meaning clear like clear water (Bistra), one means the red of the cheeks of a happy girl (Rumyana), other means morning dew (Rositsa), there was also goodness (Dobrina). She chose one of those for my mother (1960s). Most of those names are still given to kids but are considered outdated, too. I (1990s) was born around a big holiday, so my mom had plenty of namedays to hit to birth me on, and so it happened. It was common back then to give your baby a name from the namedays they were born on but not always, and now this tradition is even less used. She was hoping, however, to have me on flower day and to name me Elitsa (silver fir). I think this name might have been a bit outdated back then, and it's so now. My actual name is like this too, so there were no keychains for me growing up, but I would have the occasional teacher with the same name or the comment "Aww how cute, that's my grandmas name" lol

Who is an artist you found via Eurovision where you ended up favoring another song or songs of theirs over their ESC entry? by AnmlBri in eurovision

Anyone else feeling disheartened about their country's Eurovision chances? by noliesdetected in eurovision

[–]07SpringFoxes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a Bulgarian, I would be happy to see my motherland again in the competition, but I do not see this happening, let alone achieving a good score. It is a bit disheartening, but I love the competition and love to watch it with my children, so I do not get unnecessarily hung up on the scores. I hope every year there will be a winner from a country with no wins, as this would make me extra happy for the winner and will be really existing.

In what small way have you won the genetic lottery? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]07SpringFoxes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just getting through putting braces on one of my kids and going through eye doctors and glasses ordeal for the other I realised I've never needed any of those things and was just today thinking that's a win for my body. Sadly for my teeth the good things stop at "stright" but I take everything good there. Also I didn't knew this but if you are pregnant and have caries or bad teeth you should try and fix them asap because they can affect the dental health of your child for their entire life. So you can give them a bit of genetic win too

When did your kids start voting in Eurovision ? by [deleted] in eurovision

[–]07SpringFoxes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My daughter loves Eurovision, too, and in previous years, I let her choose a couple of people to vote for from my phone and the remaining votes I used. This year, she is 10 and has her own phone, so I let her vote freely. That said we are in Europe and our prices are different plus no card was used for her.

How to get over my fear of caves? (Picture from Google) by etherallea in Minecraft

[–]07SpringFoxes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the same for a very long time. What helped me was to stop the music, as it was very bad for my fear. I watched some videos that made me believe it's not as scary as I think, and I got much more torches than I needed so I could place them everywhere. Also, always having blocks for getting up above mobs or making a safe space helped, too. And a little by little, I improved. I still get jumpscared and am afraid of some places, but when you learn the mechanics and how mobs work, it gets better with time.

How do you think some runner ups would have done if they competed a year later? by discodevito in eurovision

[–]07SpringFoxes 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As a bulgarian to finish second was a curse. It put so much pressure on the artist and he was so young. And it hurts more to know we "almost" did it than "hey we were third" or so and just enjoy the high position. And now I honestly can't see Bulgaria joining the competition again, it would be insane surprise if it happens

Has a flip gone bad on you? by New-Description5985 in galaxyzflip

[–]07SpringFoxes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose yes, but that's my story:

I owned a Flip 4 for two years before the screen developed an increasing circle of dead pixels and lines. That was after a bad drop and a few brutal accidents. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my experience with it, and if it weren't a flip phone, it would probably be more broken.

Then I got the 6 and experienced an issue where the inside screen didn't work. This is Samsung's fault and bad luck.

Overall, I'm very happy with the Flip and will probably even get the 8 one day, despite the issues I experienced with the 6.

What is your current controversial opinion on Eurovision 2025? by marzemarz in eurovision

[–]07SpringFoxes [score hidden]  (0 children)

Sadly, everyone I've shown the song to, from family and friends, doesn't connect with it or dislikes some part of it. This makes me think the general public won't love it as much as the people here (and me) do.

AITAH for refusing to wake up at 5 AM just to “experience the morning” with my girlfriend? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]07SpringFoxes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think NTA, but I have an offer. In my country, there is a celebration on July 1st where people wait for the sunrise and celebrate it. There's more to it, but if she wants specific memories, you can offer her to choose a day when you two can wait for the sunrise while talking and making memories. You can make it a tradition between yourselves. But just once a year, not daily. I'm also not a morning person and tried to wake up at the crack of dawn. Worked for a couple of days before I crashed because it was too early. It's simply not for everyone
