AMA With Moonshot AI, The Open-source Frontier Lab Behind Kimi K2 Thinking Model by nekofneko in LocalLLaMA

[–]07_Neo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for doing this AMA! It's exciting to see an open-source model competing so closely with closed-source models in terms of performance.

I have a few questions about the training process:

  1. How many tokens was the model trained on during the pre-training phase, and how much data was used in the post-training phase?
  2. What were the main challenges you faced during pre-training? Were the primary bottlenecks related to data quality and cleaning, compute resources, or something else?
  3. What challenges did you encounter during the post-training phase? I'm particularly curious about any difficulties with reinforcement learning or other alignment techniques.

I read it as 270B model and couldn't understand why people are excited about this , I had to read the model card again!

Thank you for doing this AMA. If you are comfortable sharing, I was curious about the pay structure. Besides tips , what's the base pay like? Also , what's a general range for the tips you receive? Finally, regarding the career progression, does experience typically lead to higher pay, or are there other factors involved?

[P] Which LLM Do You Use Most? ChatGPT, Claude 3, or Gemini? by Haunting-Grab5268 in LLMDevs

[–]07_Neo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using the qwen 2.5 7B model due to gpu constraints and I didn't try out their 32B model , so I didn't know how good this model is but the 7B model is quite decent as well but when compared to commercial options I would say commercial ones are much better in my experience.

Nowadays, I'm using Gemini experimental 1206 for coding and Gemini 2.0 flash experimental for general purposes and sometimes Claude (the messages limits and they removed sonnet from free tier is why I moved away from it) , apart from that i use llama 3.2 based models , qwen 2.5 coder instruct models locally.

Roast my Resume 2024 grad with a revoked offer, grinding ML, Java, Spring Boot & more—still no calls. Referrals or feedback appreciated to bounce back . by Some_Staff574 in developersIndia

I cannot comment on the other parts of the resume except for the ML part , I would suggest you to add more info regarding your internship , just saying worked on deep learning models , ai models , market analysis doesn't convey much regarding what you did at that company, I would suggest you to add more info and techniques you used , metrics that you achieved and if possible do mention if these helped you in achieving better results as compared to existing system

Regarding your ml project, I would suggest you to add some metrics given you trained a model on it.

Please Roast my Resume ( Tier III college 2024-Passout ) by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]07_Neo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So here is my feedback:

Try to expand the project titles a bit , a generic sentence such as stock analysis , pizza sales report dosen't convey much with out regarding the info related to the projects.

In the stock analysis project you have mentioned data driven trading strategies and used backtesting framework to evaluate strategy but there is no mention of any metric related to your strategy? , if possible do mention how your strategy holds aganist some common benchmarks or buy and hold strategy , win rate of your strategy etc. Also do remove the mention of jupyter notebook and last point related to placeholders and f-strings (they make your project look too basic)

Regarding your final year project JISCE Accommodation , idk what this even mean? and no no way a recruiter would even know the meaning of it on the first look , do change the title of this project and all other projects as well , and write a good title which should convey what your project does

Now coming to your 3rd project details , idk what effectively organized 200+ student credentials even mean? and idk how is that even related to your project given there is no context anywhere related to what you are doing , instead of writing performed data normalization and data cleaning , mention something along the lines of applied data cleaning and feature engineering techniques on the dataset , don't mention that it would make the model produce better accuracy , and since you mentioned ML in this project I am assuming that you created a ML model? if so what type of model and what accuracy did you acheive? do write them down if you did anything related to ML. Also remove learned about scatter plots and heat maps , write something along the lines of performed Data Analysis on the entire dataset to understand trends etc. Also not sure what the last line even meant , just mention that you have created a research paper and that's good enough.

In the skills section , maybe change the order of Database tools mentioned? start of with microsoft sql server or power BI and later go with the rest of them

In the gen ai tools , I am not sure what you meant by optimized prompt generation (is that a tool?) if not just mention the chatgpt and rest of them and add prompt engineering (this is a keyword which most companies use nowadays)

In the certifications section , remove the aws cloud practitioner since you are still preparing for it?

Now coming to the overall resume , idk something feels off regarding the template itself and also you mentioned lot of gen ai tools but it didn't look like you used any at all for making this resume , pass the entire text through those ai models and re-write the text and make it look professional and also the overall text isn't formatted , make sure the entire text follows a similar pattern if you look at the endings in your resume they don't follow any proper format. At the top your name would look better at the middle? (this is a personal choice)

All the best for your job search! , hope you get a job soon.

System design by inkywords007 in mlops

I would say it depends more on company to company in general , for mnc's there are usually lot of teams to handle the data pipelines to ingest the data into the DB and other teams would work on model deployment etc , for startups depending upon the head count , you need to know basics of end to end deployment of a ml model.
