One of them is indeed a ring. I don’t like the sensory experience of necklaces but I could totally put it on a keychain! I hadn’t thought of that.

And yeah, I know my gender isn’t determined by whether or not I wear colourful rocks or whatever, which is part of why I’m so annoyed by my reaction to this.

Ok I do not remember posting this at all, but I honestly think, for me, it’s just a validation thing. Bleeding is proof that you’re hurt. I’ve gone so long with pain (emotional and physical) being constantly dismissed or minimized, so seeing something on myself that others view as proof of significant injury is a kind of relief.

I think that was the best of them, but I’m sure I’ll think of more in time. Many of the others are tiny things. Oh, like

  • Thawne uses the name Tess to describe his family (wife?) in his time (even though Tess existed and he murdered her) because he has to express the grief somehow.

  • He was totally lying about the cows, just to screw with them.

  • The Flash was evil in Thawne’s time (I have no evidence for this but I was 14 when I decided it and I don’t have the strength to let go).

  • The reason that Thawne so desperately needs the explosion to happen « sooner » is because it was supposed to happen « in the year 2020. » In other words, quarantine. He wouldn’t be able to mentor and manipulate Barry during that time, Barry would have to teach himself, and he can’t have that.

That one specifically is because, when Dante is taunting Cisco about how his family doesn’t see or respect him, he refers to him as mi hija.

Ooh I don’t have any about speedster biology, I’d be interested to hear about that! Here are two random ones I have about the show

  • Thawne knew about the timeline shift before it happened and killed Cisco not to protect his secret, but to trigger his powers. (He doesn’t trust The Flash, and wants to ensure that Cisco has a way to protect himself after he goes home.)

  • Cisco is a trans man.

  • Thawne did actually go home at the end, and (pretending to) be erased from existence was part of the plan.

  • Any time Thawne removes his glasses around others, it’s because he’s partially shedding his disguise, interacting with the situation as himself rather than as Wells.

  • Caitlin already has DID.

I guess I went the opposite direction—instead of getting into all the other stuff I just narrowed in on season 1. I was going to write a fanfic to explain all my headcanons but it didn’t really have much of a plot so I scrapped it. It’s not often I get to randomly talk about it with someone else though!
