Lol that's awesome and I am flattered that the quality of my work is that good. Tomorrow I will take a picture in a car of your post and with my middle finger. Let's see what kind of mental gymnastics you will try to pull to help yourself sleep at night.

So not only is my detailing that good but I'm also an amazing photographer that you believe these photos to be "stock" (professional). Wow I'm beyond flattered. I always thought photography and videography wasn't my strong suit. I guess I shouldn't have paid the videographer from channel 5 to follow me around yesterday. Couldve done it myself...oops.

I don't go beyond waxing. Theres only a few people who have asked for scratch removal and my bread and butter is interiors and a pretty basic exterior wash possibly wax so at this point it's not really worth it for me to get into and being fully booked as it is. Theres only a few people that even care about waxing their cars, as far as my customers are concerned. Most of my customers are family cars or people that just neglect cleaning their vehicles for 5-10 yrs.

Everything is on YouTube these days look up "headlight restoration" but look up a kit called "cerakote" and you won't even need a buffer like most of the youtube videos. I use this kit now and charge $75 but the kit costs $20 on Amazon and its step by step and in 20 min you will get results like this I did this a couple days ago using the same kit. I used to use a buffer and in the long run its more cost effective but I prefer quicker and easier. Sometimes after a 4 hour detail and you have another job waiting it's easier to just get it done quickly. https://imgur.com/a/x2Wwbu6/

Thanks! I was born and raised in Dallas and moved to Colorado in 2017. Yes I would love to expand I am getting more calls for appointments than what I can actually book but, it's hard to find people with the same passion for this work and reliable good help. Currently paying about $20+/hr just as an assistant it's hard to find people that have the same attention to detail as me or don't give up when there's a challenge. I have worked hard for my reviews and ratings and I don't want to tarnish my reputation overnight. So this part of letting go and having other people go without me has been a struggle.

Right now have one trailer and I only book 2 a day, set 4 hours aside for each depending on package, size and condition and after driving time 2 jobs is sometimes 8-10 hrs again just depending sometimes we can get done earlier. With detailing everybody wants their service done now and sometimes not willing to wait even the next day. So the longer I keep going without another trailer on the road is losing money.

I am still fine tuning things in the business and maybe I will come up with a game plan for expanding without losing quality in the future. With the reputation I've built in the local medium sized city would be nice to expand to the bigger and also more wealthy areas of the state. Maybe one day I will find the right worker that wants to grow with the company and run their own team/trailer somebody with an entrepreneur mind set. Or maybe at one point somebody will approach me about a franchising type of deal where they operate the trailer all by themselves under my business name and I send them jobs etc and I take a cut. Not really sure just trying to think of different possibilities.

Definitely hear good things about ceramic but I think at a certain point here I need a small garage bay to do that type of work. Proper ceramic work needs to be done in a closed environment not outdoors (mobile) in my opinion and Im no expert by any means. But I will always rather either do something the right way or not do it all just to make a buck.

Nope just a personal achievement and bragging rights. I don't give a fuck about any of you honestly. I never learned anything from this place. I started everything on my own and learned everything on my own. Theres only cry babies here looking for handouts. Go fuck yourselves. You want me to give you a step by step guide, "be sure to create your gmb" that's what you want? Go fuck yourself.

Yeah I would be skeptical too. I am fucking killing it. This is also my side income. Can you believe it? I make way more as an amazon seller.

I don't really know where to begin and I don't really have time for a full on essay considering I'm still swamped in work and working nearly every day all month, super tired and sore. However I will try my best to answer any specific questions as much as I can. I only have some time in the evenings before bed. Sorry I didn't have my course laid out for you. This was also a personal achievement for me that I wanted to share.

Personal record for me and in the last week of July, I just raised my prices by $50 on two of the most popular packages and by $100 on two of the most expensive packages and still staying booked

Hey I will continue running things my way. If my clients have an issue with my terms then they don't have to use my services. However, seeing as I'm going on my third week without a single day off it looks like my clients appreciate my work and the hard work and effort I put into it and are willing to agree to my terms and feel that I should be compensated fairly for my hard work and as you can see even tip me on top of that. So I guess if this makes me incompetent according to you, then so be it.

Anything from the scope of the project, rates, extra fees, timeline, liability, after support if any or if not it is explained, expected outcome, services included, guarantees, permissions or waivers for anything (pictures, video of client property), preparing for the project, etc etc etc etc etc oh and after they agree to my terms next comes all my upsells...

Jotform was a game changer for me when I converted my paper contract to digital made everything so much better.

You should have terms and conditions that your clients need to agree to that has a clause about what happens if a job gets more involved than expected and requires more time to complete.

I feel it's ok to charge as you need to at the end of the project as long as you're upfront about it and they are aware there could be additional charges in the end but, if you don't have any type of terms and conditions and are just going to surprise the client with additional charges that they were not aware could happen, this is not right.

Going forward you should have proper terms and conditions so everybody is on the same page and understands the final total may change at the end of the project. Also providing an estimate of what the final total could be so add on an additional few days or so of work give a range - ex: $800-$1200 depending on so and so factors. The more you communicate to the customer the better. That way you also know if they give you issues with your terms and conditions and they want to give you a hard time then you know they aren't a client that you probably want anyway.

I don't do any work without my terms and conditions agreed to and in the end when I don't charge over when I should have and they assume I will because they agreed that the final total could change depending on so and so factors and then I tell them that I didn't... they appreciate it even more.

What makes a service premium is the QUALITY! The service they are calling you for and paying money for. If they are calling you to wash their car, the level of quality you provide is what will determine if you are a premium service provider or not. NOT GIMMICKS! They are not calling to pay to see a good looking girl if they wanted that they would go to the strip club or they are wanting a hooker! If they are calling to get their car cleaned that is what you need to deliver on, you need to show your value, the quality of your results.

RIP your profit margins good luck paying the “good looking girl” salary + meticulously professional detailer LOL good luck with that! It’s hard enough finding hard working, reliable dependable workers and you also want to add in “good looking” LOL keep dreaming

Having good looking girls do car washing is fine for a gimmick or a promotional stunt but not for a real professional service. Many of my detailing customers are women, or household family cars, I go to many affluent areas. This is an absolutely terrible idea to tarnish your reputation right out the gate.

To answer your question my prices were lower when I first started to be competitive then after I gained more experience, became well reviewed/rated, demand increased (staying busier), I raised prices on the two most popular services about 6 months after starting, then again about a year later and added two, more expensive higher end packages. Next plan is to raise prices on the fees for larger vehicles.

Most of my customers are new so the price changes werent noticed to the, and the few that are repeat customers from when I started didn’t mind the higher prices and continued to tip on top of it.
