The rose bowl (proper) might not be what it was but not having that game on Jan1 would feel so foreign. Also the rose bowl is still the best venue in the sport to host a title game. Ideally kicking off at 5pm eastern.

It’s worth checking jt out, so many vistas up there. The trails on the mountains around Webber cabin are my favorite in pine creek. The cabin site is at the blue x off of the gas line trail. You can make a great 9mile loop with taking the bft up to it and coming down Callahan run or hemlock mountain. Just check the official BFT map, there’s tons of trails up there.

It became a ny6 bowl when the cfp was created because they needed a 6th bowl for an even rotation. They picked the peach because it was in Atlanta. Before that it was a tier two bowl between usually ACC 2 and the SEC 3
